  • I eat breakfast at my desk and some days I take in a bowl of shredded wheat (packed up night before) and I have almond milk in the fridge at work. Other days - I take yogurt and a wee tub of fresh fruit. I'd also recommend cereal bars - the raw fruit kind with no added sugar - they're made of just pressed fruit (don't let…
  • Sunny Aberdeen! Glorious outside today!
  • I go over the excess carbs and sugar mainly from my fruit intake as well. There is so much information around about good fruits and bad fruits - I go by the 5 a day rule for fruit & veg - ok maybe 6 a day! But with a healthy exercise regime I figure once I can burn off the calories it should be ok?
  • I found depending on the cereal I have on mornings with low sugar content, I feel better and fuller for longer. For example, Cheerios - I feel hungry mid morning, however if I have shreddies - I don't feel hungry until later (11 - 12 noon). • Have a look at this website - http://www.moretomushrooms.com/ Happy Eating
  • thank you so much for the tips on the websites - I have to say, your information brings to light some new information and I really appreciate the guidance!
  • Thank you so much for the help with this - my next step was planning on shelling out some cash to get advice from a trainer. I have to say - my asthma has been so much better since I started exercising 2 years ago (although had to stop for a while after surgery). Again, thank you!!!
  • Gotcha! Thanks for the tip, I think that should be my aim now :-)
  • Thanks...done - food diary viewable now. I was doing more strength training earlier this year - however I thought that for weight loss I needed to increase my cardio (which also helps with my severe asthma). If I aim to do at least 60 mins per day - maybe alternate with 40 and 30 minute strength training during the week?…
  • Silly me, but how do I allow you to view my diary?
  • Pack stuff like cereal bars, dried fruits, nuts etc. for camping trip. For beach trip, when I'm away and we go out for drinks, I always go for gin w/ slim line tonic or wine spritzers/prosecco/champagne. As for foods - salads, grilled meats for both beach holiday and camping trip. Happy hols!
