Aw yes... "You have such a beautiful smile" is what I would hear. I never heard anything from my parents but "you look nice". But once I lost my weight in high school I heard "You need to eat something!" Parents and friends mean well, I guess. LOL

I'm 55 - I couldn't drop weight after having my daughter but using MFP I have gotten there and unfortunately I strayed from MFP and gained 65 pounds so I'm back. I'm down some and have 40+ to go. You can friend request me if you like.

It doesn't matter to me. If I feel like talking (mostly due to boredom) I will strike a conversation - unfortunately many do not reciprocate. I fall in that "Ol' woman must have dementia" class.

I just looked at the link. PETA - well, I will keep my Opinions to myself on THEM. The two supposedly overweight children (which I don't see them as being overweight - both my children were chunky like that but healthy and grew into strong healthy adults with no weight problems) is shameful child exploitation or what I…

I have bad knees - no squats for me. Of course, if I want to push myself into knee replacement I could do them but I'm not financially capable of doing that at this time. As far as the lingering Osgood condition, my daughter had that too and never out grew it and it caused much concern but nothing was ever done for her.…

I'm 5'5" - my goal weight is 125 or there abouts. I am using the mid weight of the BMI chart as a goal.

Yes, there is no way I can lose on the TDEE amount. I found it is too high and will start to gain weight. It's very discouraging.

I also have fibro, arthritis, and just recently sprained my back - but I do what I can without doing more damage. I know I just need to do the best I can. I have to get some exercise in and moving is the best deal in town for pain. :flowerforyou:

Water, tea, and coffee - and when I drink an alcoholic beverage it is a Michelob Ultra

Log everything - I know I've logged gum when I've chewed it. :blushing:

There are those that you know the individual is attempting to sabotage but then again there are those that appear to be annoying but looking for inspiration and maybe some guidance. It might be they don't know how else to strike up the conversation.

Ohio this month then it's off to Texas.

Same here - well I'm a band-aid size, even when I was pregnant so mine aren't doing anything. LOL :blushing:

Working out as you do... are you taking your measurements? Usually - as long as you are being honest with yourself in logging and staying on track with your nutrition / calories your body may be adjusting. You may be surprised that your waistline, thighs, etc have all dropped - but the scales won't show it. Then again on a…

I am going to remember this... thank you for sharing! :drinker:

The only goal for April I had was to get back into the daily logging. I accomplished that!!! I found out that I am Hypokalemic - started my potassium supplements (wasn't sure how that was going to effect weightloss) and being a Hypothyroid sufferer now started my support on that issue... I lost 4 pounds since my…

I put in everything - even if I take an aspirin. Vitamins and meds - all listed. I found out the hard way that if I lie to myself I'm defeating myself in my self-improvement. It's one thing to lie to someone else about what I'm eating or drinking but to lie to myself is a real no-no. Don't think I haven't walked that way…

I'm so surprised a large pharmacy doesn't revel in his success and just send him a birthday card instead of the 'reminder' cards. Geez... LOL... if we all could do that the pharmacies would all go out of business. Great Story - thank you for sharing!!

Wonderful!!! It feels so good, doesn't it? BTW - you look so much younger than what you do in your first photo. You look like you should still be in school. Enjoy your rewards - weight loss & confidence. You look Fantastic!!!

I recall using my Mom's scale (a digital) and I would weigh 3x's and take the average of the 3. I own an analog - easier to calibrate.

I would love to try some of these!

I find myself getting hungry about that time too. I brush my teeth & get myself ready for bed and when I think I want to eat... I just take my butt to bed. I used to see it in my children when they wanted to snack at night. I would tell them that they weren't hungry but they were tired and send them off to bed. I am just…

I have to commend you... I loved this, thank you!

I take Rhodiola Rosea to help with stress management - it reduced my 'binge' eating but our bodies are ours and sometimes that little deficit can cause problems in reaching our goals. If it is something that works for you then go for it. As you mentioned you are a nurse so you know that. :flowerforyou:

Congratulations!!! I'm aiming to get back there one of these days.
