Yes, one of the few foods that have the amino acid that fights bad cholesterol (won't find it in the whites) "University of Connecticut study that showed that a group of men in the study that ate 3 eggs per day for 12 weeks while on a reduced carb, higher fat diet increased their HDL good cholesterol by 20%, while their…

Thankful I no longer live in the Mid west - can't handle the cold & snow :ohwell: . Mostly - that I'm still living.

I ignore it ... it is just a reminder to be self-aware of what you are taking into your body. If your satisfied, feeling good, and your macros are good. I wouldn't worry to much about it. :flowerforyou:

5'5" - I hit 145 - and did not feel good (yet) but once I dropped closer to the mid range of the BMI I felt better. It's all individual.

Love it... LOL:laugh:

Restaurant is a good answer - myself I opt for the peanuts / sunflower seeds from the vending machines.

Great Job!

Thank you for sharing... this is so true.

At my age... I just smile and make eye contact back but normally I don't start conversation. I just sprint off to where ever I was heading in the first place. So if they are looking at me like I'm the Crypt - Keeper (as my son likes to refer to me) or an over-aged hollywood actress - it is confronted and not neglected. I…

Check out your macros - making sure you are getting your hydration cared for and that you are getting your nutrients. JMO.... I suffer headaches some days and find that I need more fluids. Or that I did not take in enough potassium.

Oh yes... just patted my belly and said "... no, just fat...". I could tell this woman was totally embarrassed :blushing: - and so were my children. I tried to lighten the situation as much as possible. :flowerforyou: /  Felt so depressed for so long after that time. :frown:

Have you been tracking your measurements? 1# per week isn't bad at all and you may be shrinking or rearranging otherwise. Don't be hard on yourself but look for those NSV's and other areas of victory. Our bodies do weird things. I went for weeks without losing anything but instead I was losing inches then all of a sudden I…

Love the posting.... I too felt this way for many years. Now I own it. I have only me to please and do not worry about whether or not I measure up to someone else - I need to measure up to my own expectations. I cannot expect society to make me happy about me - Only I can do that and I have succeeded in that portion. Kudos…

I'm at goal  (for the 2nd or 3rd time :embarassed: - I'm sticking around to keep me there this time :flowerforyou: ) and obviously need some feedback from people as well. I'm there to congratulate and post but get very few responses:huh: . (sometimes none... sorry to whine:sad: , but I believe I may know what you…

I'm so sorry for your losses. I know how it effected and affected me. I lost my Mom to cancer 4 years ago then turned around and lost my beautiful daughter (25 years old) to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) - leaving a void in my life. Other than to live to the fullest and take care of myself. She would have wanted me to do that…

I made the decision years ago - I just had problems getting to where I needed to be until my Mom became diabetic and I was searching the internet for information and came across MFP. It just seemed to be the right thing to help us both. Unfortunately my Mom never came home but instead went home :frown:. It was the heart…

I love that I can now once again slide my size 1 jeans up and sport my high heels. It had been so long. I can shop off the clearance racks and almost always find my size - saving $$ is a real plus. I love that all my jeans now fit into one load in the washer. Lord knows I hadn't always been able to do…

I agree!!! Of course I heard a spin off of the song that I enjoy just as much called "White Girls" - they played it on the radio and wish I could find it in youtube but have had no luck so far.

Yes... I've already proven to myself that I can't be trusted to keep macros / weight where they are to be without doing it.

I won't say I had never tried them - just know I will never eat them again. YUCK....

No

These are my suggestions: They helped me (per suggestions from others when I started originally). 1. Don't diet! Forget the 'goals' they can be set later - just get into the habit of logging "everything" you eat and drink ... and make sure your entries are truthful (a person only lies to themselves when they fudge the…

Congratulations on Baby #2 and your great work!! :flowerforyou:

I hear you... (or read you) - I too feel from the grace of fitness but came back a few months ago. It took a bit but I'm back on track and almost to goal. I'm confident you will do it and it will stick with you this time. You can do it!!! Shame has nothing to do with it so feel proud of yourself that you are taking control…

It doesn't bother me at all. It is their name - not mine or yours... they don't mind so we don't matter in the respect of their profile name. :flowerforyou:

I keep "one" size larger - in the case of surgery, bloating, or double dressing for warmth. Anything larger is gone. I did keep the huge sweatshirts (love snuggling in them whilst watching television on those real cold nights). I'm not giving myself any allowance to go back to those larger sizes. I used to and now, it just…
