I'm old so maybe this is old thinking but I always looked at glasses as a form of jewelery. Jewelery that is functional. (Belts / buckles / watches.... glasses were and are just included in this list).

MFP was a 2nd thought for me. I started looking for online help setting up and maintaining Mom's dietary needs (she was diabetic) and when she passed away :brokenheart: and I decided I could benefit from using this site. And BOY, Have I? :flowerforyou: I might add - I used this site to also help me control and monitor…

I agree here with this statement - even though I've had my own sightings. One specifically (early '80's) it was huge [could see the entire underbelly] and silent - so surreal that it seemed like I was in a movie or something. I wasn't the only one that watched this thing as cars were stopped all along the road. Yet, there…

I watch carefully my protein and potassium (I'm Hypokalemic so it is a must).

Hey, take the food ads from television. It helped in reduction of smoking issues - it could be key with food. I can't have television on that long or the ads tantalize my taste buds. IMO.

Personally "... there no fashion..." in any size - what looks good is clean clothes and confidence. Doesn't matter what size.

Congratulations!!! That is wonderful!! I find it so great to be able to pull out the 'other' clothes and have some of the old favorites hang back in my closet. It is a Fantastic NSV!

This is a good thing... I weigh every night then on Sunday mornings I weigh to log. I'm within 10# of my goal and have psyched myself to only focus on the Sunday's weigh-in. The closer we get to goal the slower of process. Don't lose faith in yourself!

:flowerforyou: I just wanted to check in... I have lost another 2 pounds this week. I had blood work completed almost 2 weeks ago and no phone call from the doctor's office - so I must be doing something correctly

I don't do breakfast :smokin: - just caffeine & nicotine to start me up in the morning. After a half hour or so I start in for work. No food until brunch (about 9 to 10 AM). :drinker:

I've dropped 50+ pounds, yet no one has said a word. I guess at my age people are afraid that I'm "sick" again. I don't worry about it but only enjoy buying new clothes. :flowerforyou:

That's Great!!

Sugar throws my sugar to the sky. I have to minimize it or surrender to insulin. I'm more head strong about cutting sugars & carbs than I am giving myself shots, thank you.

It may have been a short diagnosis to give you. There may be other issues that you aren't privy to. Sometimes it's just easier to tell people something they can almost wrap their minds around rather than attempting to explain the whole medical history with them. Depression falls on many levels and you must not judge on…

No nickname... [other than the 'normal' derogatory ones  ]. I guess I've always taken life too serious.

I'm 5'5" - right now weighing 165 # I wear a 12. I recall being about 140 wearing a size 8 (which wasn't that long ago.). My size 2/3's are waiting for me to get back to 125# again. :flowerforyou:

I agree here - I've found over the years that when my weight remains the same the body measurements are adjusting. I've been at my same weight now going on 3 weeks. I too do the herbal life shakes and lost 4 pounds (after already losing 1 - 2 # a week) in my first week of using them. Give it time and try not to let the…

I'm on 1200 - I lost it before being on it (then strayed from logging, etc) and am back to take off my excess weight again - still on the 1200.

I'm sure she is - such a drama queen. Why should we pay for her to live out her existence. Death penalty, definitely.

I do that most days as well - I hit my calories and the macros are over on something. Its' so hard (for me) to keep everything in check. I'm going to be watching this thread for tips. Good luck on your journey.

I'm set at sedentary, I log the house cleaning - I'm packing to move so there is much scrubbing, hoisting, lugging and down right elbow grease. I earn those 90 calories for 1/2 hour. Especially when I work at it for 2 hours straight. JMO
