I've had the Epic bars. They're pretty good. The lamb is my favorite. I find them to be somewhat sausage like in taste/consistency.

Been looking for a spiral cutter, so thanks for the info! I love eating spaghetti squash in lieu of normal pasta, but they aren't always in season. I think zucchini/squash noodles sound yummy. Carrot ones too! Maybe in a honey & mustard German inspired dressing with sliced sausage....

About 5 lbs. I weigh daily so I have a pretty good feel for trends. I was up 4 lbs on Monday from where I am today. I didn't even eat that much on Easter...

I really enjoy a drink in the evening, and usually do just fine with one or two. It's when I have more than three that it's a problem. It all fits just fine if I want to maintain my current weight of about 130 lbs. It's trying to cut smaller that I'm having difficulty. Honestly, it isn't the daily drink that's the problem,…

I've been wondering about this as well. I do ab work because I have to for aerial, but I'm pretty sure in order to see my abs as much as I'd like, I really need to build them. This is my first year of actual weights, so are the heavy lifts enough to build the muscle I want? The three years of aerial work has definitely…

My stretch marks are below my belly button and of course, doesn't affect ab definition above the belly button. If the marks are higher, I'd think they'd have some bearing, but not much. Plus building the abs necessary to show through would probably make them look better no matter what.

I'm 5'5" (and a half) and weigh 128-ish. It fluctuates daily. I think I'd like to be 125, but honestly, I'm more worried about body comp than weight. A little more definition in my abs and a perkier backside, maybe a little oomph to my calves is really what I'm after.
-
Recomp would be mantenence calories. Make sure you get the recommended protein. As far as upper body workout without wrists, I would look at some of the machines at your gym. I can think of a couple that wouldn't involve your wrist. Ipersonaly wouldn't wait though. The lower body muscles are some of the biggest.

I've fallen off a bit too. Haven't gained any weight from it, but I'm definitely struggling with more gas. :blushing: Well, after the breaded turkey breasts from my husband's hunt last week I'm having for breakfast, I'm going to start being more strict too!

I get it at work too. It's funny because I've only lost around 8-10 lbs. I started at 138, and last week I was 128 but this week I'm 131 (hence the 8-10 lbs. ). I'm 5'5.5", so 130 is smack in the middle of a healthy bmi for me. But people still comment. Like often. It's weird.

Bump! Always into lower cal desserts.

Bump. We've made something similiar by just throwing a bunch of spices into the tomatos, but a recipe is always appreciated. Thanks!

I've made chickpea chocolate chip cookies that were amazing. Will have to try these as well. Thanks!

The BBC had some specials about this topic. You can watch them on youtube. This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAQr77QMJiw talks specifically about this. There's another one where they compared a "naturally" skinny friend with her heavier friend. Both women swore the skinny friend ate far more than the heavier…

Boy, women can be judgy little judgers. And I only made it through page 5... OP, I'm nearly 10 years older than you and I will wear short shorts when it's warm. I also will wear crop tops with a high wasted skirt. I don't usually wear them together anymore, but that's just me. I've also had problems with women and…

It killed the tendons in my ankles. I thought I was working up slowly too, but I must have super weak ankles or something. I think minimalist running in theory is great. I just don't know that everyone can work up to it. For some, the work needed to build up necessary foot strength may be unrealistic.

Probably, but while it's nice but not necessary--as long as everything else is good. We pretty much have separate bedrooms now. But we never went to sleep at the same time any way, and someone would invariably end up sleeping in another room because of any little reason.

Eating a meal heavy in bread or pasta will make me absolutely drained and foggy after eating. But looking at your diary, you eat hardly any fat, or calories for that matter.

Thanks for posting updates! Looking forward to cut results.

This. I eat this way and love it. I'm also leaner and smaller than I've ever been.

I eat to a TDEE method and a macro method. You can manually adjust your macros to get whatever you want. I aim for 100 grams of protein and let the others fall where they do. It's easy to hit both calories and macros. TDEE is just calories, nothing more. Scooby may have their own idea of what macros you need, but it's…

This is where land too. I eat at a deficit Mon-Thurs and then Fri-Sat tend to be 2500-3000 calories if I'm eating whatever. Sunday tends to come in at maintenance, which is about 2100-2200 calories/day for me. I incorporate treats into my daily allowance as well. But I like to go for drinks on Friday/Saturday and eat out.…

I noticed when I dropped weight that my legs didn't have the necessary mass to look good. Same with the bootay. Gotta build the muscle to have something left when the fat starts dropping...

Bump! I love protein powder recipes. I love banana recipes. Now I just need to figure out if I can cut it down enough to make it a single serving that can be microwaved. I've found I have the same problem with these treat recipes that I do with the "real" thing... nom, nom, nom.

4 lbs in about 4 months. My thighs are noticeably different, but they were pretty weak to begin with, which is what prompted me to bulk in the first place. To be honest, I probably won't go for much more next year. If I can cut down and maintain 125 lbs this summer, I might go for 7-10 lbs over the 5 months of winter, but…

Kicking "processed" foods to the curb has made it easier for me to stick to a calorie allowance because those foods (mostly crackers and bread) tend to trigger cravings for more of them (for me). They also don't have as much calorie per satisfaction buck, IMO. When I think processed, I tend to think things from a box. I'm…

This is my experience too. I drink a Diet A&W (am drinking one now) per day. I also put Splenda in my coffee and like Mio in my evening water. It doesn't make me crave sugar at all and I manage to mantain a lean body with it, so.... That's not saying I dont think I should wean off the diet soda. But more for tooth and bone…

I'm wearing a Polo version of Chucks--bought at Marshall's.

This is totally me. I was just trying to limit it to Friday and Saturday. And then no more than 4 or so drinks. In general, alcohol has little to do with weight loss for me. I can maintain a healthy weight just fine and still indulge. But I've definitely been indulging a little too frequently lately.

I'm weird, but I love making food favorite alternatives. So... bumping for that.
