Ah thank you for that!

I'm aware but someone recommended that I post it here for more replies. Thanks

Gosh, I mean 'New Rules of Lifting for Women OR Strong Curves. I think I need to go to bed. Wonder if I can edit the title...anyone?
-
My Drs also don't tell you over the phone if something is wrong though you will know it's wrong because they will ask for the patient to come in. Otherwise they'll say results have come back fine, over the phone
-
All the best with your results OP, hope you get this sorted quickly. Thanks for updating us along the way

I'm a little late in on this but this isn't true for my town. I lived in Leeds for years and you could only book an appointment for that particular day and now I live in Bradford and it's the same here. An appointment cannot be booked days in advance here

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I can press 20kg. Max 3 reps per arm though. I will only have acccess to 22kg per arm once I invest in the dumbells as that's the max weight they come in. When I do deadlifts at the moment, it's with my barbell. The max weight of barbel is 50kg though I could definitely dealift than that…
-
I have a barbel with a max weight of 50kg and will be purchasing powerblock dumebells with max weight of 22kg per hand and seriously doubt I'll be able to lift heavier than that. I'm fairly strong as I've been lifting heavy kettlebells for 6 years now and generally play around with 20kg single handedly
-
You know, I never actually thought of it like that. I've been successful at losing fat and gaining strength and muscle using kettlebells and follow along workouts with kettlebells where I just increased the weight of the bell when it got easy. I assumed the same would be for weighs, would it not? I just find it way more…

I've been eating at 1800 for a couple of months now more or less but I'd only meet that target now and again. I'd be ravenous so would overeat (no junk) often and didn't weigh myself but I can tell I've definitely lost fat and inches and feel muscle where it wasn't before. I'm 143 pounds. I have had an awful relationship…
-
Gosh this is so helpful! Thank you!
-
I have access to kettlebells and dumbells only. Well, I have a barbell but max weight in it is 50kg. Nothing in book form please as I lack motivation to follow along a book. Waves something I could watch and imitate. A progressive lifting program
-
Thanks for all your replies. Very reassuring. I think I knew i should eat more but wanted reassurance to give me more confidence to do it
-
Hats off to you guys who can eat at 1200
-
Aren't you always so hungry on that amount? My maintenance with exercise is 2300 and I workout heavy 6 days a week and can't imagine 1200 calories even if I was inactive. How are you doing it!
-
I think she would be happy with losing half a pound a week
-
Seriously?
-
Gosh, *SHOULD HAVE. Sorry, it's been a long day
-
*shoulve

Why are white pasta and white rice bad? Because they're stripped of their nutrients but I shouldn't worded that better-I mean they're not as healthy as their wholewheat and wholegrain counterparts
-
Kettlebells. I started with an 8(kg), then purchased another 8, progressed to a 12, then a 16, then 20. I don't use the 8 and 12 anymore. Best investment ever!
-
I did that a few times too because I was curious but that curiosity turned to despair even though I knew it was logical that I'd weigh more after eating yet it still stressed me out. I don't do that anymore thank goodness. Just need to programme myself to stop worrying about the fluctuations the scales show
-
I'm not sure what my maintenance calories are so I may have to just eat a little under what I think maintenance is and tweak it from there. Sorry, my head is spinning with information and researching online is making me more confused, hence all the questions for clarity purposes

I didn't consider that the body fat reading in the scale could be inaccurate' come to think of it, when I was around 15 pounds heavier 10 years ago, and was the cardio Queen, I never once lifted weights and the body fat scales at the gym told me I was 24% body fat so something is definitely off!
-
Thank you so much Roxie Dawn. You always help me massively so it's much appreciated! And that is exactly what I meant by the post..you've broken it down perfectly. I have done a little research and at 143 pounds of weight, I am thinking of 125g carb, 50 fat and 220carb I think it was...and 1900 calories (tdee is approx…

Thanks for all your replies. This helped massively.

Thanks for your answers- very informative

Can anyone recommend a good at home programme for 6-8 weeks?
-
Not new rules for lifting women. New rules for lifting FOR women. Otherwise I would most definitely ask their permission beforehand

Gym membership, GYM! Lol
