Oats don't fill me up at all
Aren't they supposed to be slow energy releasing carbs? That satiate? They do nothing for me but taste good. I'm famished under 2 hours later. That's will a banana mashed in, raisins, skimmed milk and a tsp peanut butter. Come to think of it, the only thing that fills me at breakfast time is toast(s) and eggs. Anyone else…

Lifting weights while fasting in Ramadan (20 hour fast)
So I am currently fasting for Ramadan from 1.25am-9.25 pm. The only time I am able to visit the gym is around 11am. I can’t drink water while I am fasting. I feel fine while working out and do this 3 days a week on Mon, Weds and Sat. I am not working anyway near as intensely as I normally do and I stick on 10 min of the…

I decided to hop my calories gradually until I hit around 2200 calories and then reassess from there. Spent so much time being sad and hungry on 1700 calories
And going around in circles, seeing very little progress for a year. I slowly started increasing my calories while lifting progressively heavier at the gym and am now at 2100 calories and look better and more firm than I did before. I was so scared to increase my calories, thinking I would return to my previous obese self…

I ate an additional 1500 calories yesterday
My aim is to raise my metabolism through a reverse diet but I went crazy with pizza last night. This barely happens so I’m not too worried. Shall I throw in some extra cardio this week to help balance out the numbers? Or draw a line underneath it and continue what I was doing before? 2000 calories a day and 4 weights…

So I got my body fat measured today
By a Dr with calipers. He told me my bf% was 23. I was under the impression that it was around 28% but before I do a victory dance, how accurate are callipers in measuring body fat? Most of my fat is deposited around my tummy and he didn't use the calipers on there. It was on bicep, triceps, upper back and hips. My aim has…

Week 2 reverse dieting

I am now increasing to 2000 for the next two weeks and see where that takes me. Even if I gain, I’ve had a stern word with myself to trust the process and…

If my heart rate is elevated to around 60-90% of my max heart rate while I'm lifting weights (normally supersets) doesn't this classify as cardio too? I stick 10 min of high incline walking or stepped on the end of my weight workouts just to get some cardio in but am wondering if I'm not already doing thatwitg the weights.…

I don't get this rush from any other food, having…

Ladies..totm weigh ins. Is yours affected?
I stuck to plan religiously eating at a deficit, clocked a lot of intense excercise calories and should've lost at least a pound this week. Instead, I'm up .5. Ok, so after one month of lifting heavy
3-4x a week, throwing in cardio and eating at a slight deficit, my weight has gone up by 1.4 pounds and up by 0.4% body fat.
