  • Congratulations on your amazing success. And thanks very much for sharing your inspirational photos and a bit of your story. It's good to hear of someone else who took it slow but persevered to reach their goals. Best wishes on reaching your future goals as well.
  • Congratulations on making the decision to live a healthier life. You definitely have a great reason to be motivated. Wishing you all the best with your new little one and your new healthier lifestyle.
  • Wow, that's a huge difference for 10 pounds. You look good in the before pictures, but amazing now. That suit bottom fits you completely differently. All your hard work at getting more fit is really showing. Thanks so much for sharing your inspirational photos!
  • One of my favorites is: 1/2 c non-fat milk 1/2 c low fat Greek yogurt 1 banana (frozen) 1/2 c frozen berries (I usually use blueberries, but any berry would be tasty.) 1 scoop pure whey protein powder The yogurt gives it a nice creaminess and a bit of tangy flavor as well as some additional protein. It's around 350…

  • Thanks so much for sharing your inspirational pictures. You've made amazing progress. Not only is there less of you, but you look so fit and healthy now.
  • I like my coffee very milky, so I've always put 1/2 cup into a Pyrex measuring cup and heated it up in the microwave for about 45 seconds so that my coffee doesn't get too cold. (Well, since I stopped using half and half every day anyway.) But the kitchen scale has been a life-saver when it comes to fresh meats and fruits…
  • Looks like you have been doing some exercise there. Your thighs are definitely changing shape, and you seem to have a bit more definition in the upper abs too. Keep up the great work!
  • I am one of those people who need the gym. There are too many fun and entertaining things to do at home that don't involve being active. I can have good intentions, but seldom get much in the way of exercise there. And I live in a place where exercising outside just isn't much of an option for several months of the year.…
  • I've always loved fruit, but now that I'm watching calories and nutrients more closely, I have to have berries around the house. I usually have both fresh and frozen. I also always keep eggs on hand, and plenty of low-fat dairy (milk, Greek yogurt, cheese).
  • Ok, I'd like to join too. Looking at my goals, I don't think I can reach my current overall goal weight by Halloween. So I'm going to keep it simple and aim for one pound per week which will leave me exactly 10 pounds from my goal. So that's a loss of 17 pounds between today and Halloween. My reasons: I've recently reached…
  • I had a wrap on a La Tortilla whole wheat tortilla (only 50 cals). On it I put green leaf lettuce and roast turkey from the deli (roasted in the store where I bought it, so no preservatives, yum). Also having 10 big, juicy strawberries and a hand full of baby-cut carrots. Keeping lunch fairly light since we're having…
  • Well, motivation is really all in your head. So what works for one person may not work for another. With that disclaimer, here are some things that help me. Time will continue to pass regardless of the choices you make. You could go back to the way you were doing things before and be in the same spot you are now in a year.…
  • Well, there are tons of things to do with eggs: poached, scrambled, omelettes, in breakfast tacos, in breakfast sandwiches, etc. You can add all sorts of vegetables or bits of meat to change up the flavors and give you variety. You could buy some protein powder and make fruit smoothies. (Half to one cup of juice, one to…
  • For me the hardest things are balance and jumping. The first time my trainer had me use a Boszu I fell off and landed on her. :blushing: So the first time I managed to do a box jump (the shortest one, probably about 12 inches high) I felt absolutely amazing. It's so great to realize that you can do something that used to…

  • Great job! Congratulations on reaching 50 lbs lost. Best wishes for reaching your next goal :)
  • Another easy way is to sort and rinse them, soak overnight, and then cook in a crockpot/slowcooker. This works great if you work all day as they are ready to eat when you get home. Just set the cooker on low and make sure the water (or other liquid) is about an inch over the level of the beans in the pot. I usually add…
  • Congratulations! That's such a huge victory. Welcome to onederland!
  • Thanks so much for sharing your NSV and pictures. It's great to see how working out and being more fit can make such an impressive difference even if the scale isn't moving.
  • Congratulations on your amazing weight loss to date. And best wishes on your renewed commitment and reaching your next goal. You can definitely do it!
  • I'm having tilapia for dinner tonight too. :) I'm going to cook it in a skillet on the stove-top with a sort of teriyaki sauce. For the sauce I mix some light (lower sodium) soy sauce, lime juice, mirin (you could use a teaspoon of brown sugar and a teaspoon of wine or vinegar if you can't find mirin in your area), a few…
  • I go to the gym during my lunch break. I'm not a morning person and just can't motivate myself to go then. And in the evening I just want to go home, cook dinner, and relax or socialize. I've been doing this for almost two years now, and it's definitely the best time for my schedule.
  • Based on how much you say you have to lose, I would aim for one pound a week. That should be reasonable and not leave you too hungry. So how much you lose overall will depend on how long you have. If it's 3 months till you conceive again, that could be 12 pounds lost. :) Best wishes on your weight loss journey and on…
