My daughter and her family went gluten free in January 2013. And it was pain free... In January 2014 she herself had lost approximately 50 lbs. The entire family benefited. Allergies seemed to disappear; headaches stopped; teenagers' skins cleared up; eczema got significantly better. It is worth a try.

My married kids follow a paleo lifestyle. My daughter posts yummy-looking pictures on FB regularly of the dishes she prepared. She loves cooking. That doesn't mean I have to rush off to the kitchen to stuff myself with whatever is on hand, does it?

Apple shape? Pear shape? What about me... I'm fruit salad-shaped! Now, that's depressing...!

Try substituting all milk with almond milk - available in different "strengths." Yogurt is fermented, so probably will not have same reaction as the lactose in milk. It is worth the try, not so?

Love your smile! You go girl... bravo!

I quit "cold turkey" as well, after a paralyzing stroke 24 years ago. Later, I developed COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, caused by smoking. Not fun. Wheezing, gasping for breath, coughing. Reality. Not self-pity. You can do it. Good luck.

Maybe you're cranky for a totally different reason? Not the what-where-why-when syndrome of eating the right way, or counting calories? Hang in there. You can do it! (If all else fails, eat a spoonful of honey...)

Have you ever tried analyzing exactly what triggers the "mindless eating?" There is usually a cause - boredom? frustration? - and once you identify the cause and deal with that, the mindless eating can become controlled.

Amazing! Well done!

So many answers say: "embrace your hips." Is that a yoga pose? Is it at all possible..?

Guess ghosts don't weigh much, do they...?

You don't mean the little hairy green fruit, do you...?

After 14 years at a little lower than my "ideal weight " and never gaining any weight, I started packing on the pounds without a change in lifestyle or diet. Why? Doctors shrug. Genes. Metabolism. Age... My conclusion? I either have to starve myself, or I have to literally look the other way when there's food or a mirror…

And - you're pretty!

Yes!

Broken ribs are agony. Hope you feel better soon!

Gimmicks, methinks.

Maybe he should get his eyes tested? How can he not see 46 lbs are gone? (That's about the same as six or seven "normal sized" birth babies...)
-
What about melatonin?

Do NOT eat anything with tomatoes in! Agony. Avoid acidic ingredients. Try sugar-free Jello, maybe fat-free yogurt? Best wishes.

Why don't you then cook for all of you? With the proviso that you cook what YOU can eat... Win-win situation: you get to eat what you prefer. And your wife gets a break. And your three children get stress-free, argument-free young lives with healthy food.

You can just eat a few stalks of fresh (rinsed) parsley daily. Apparently, nighttime cramps in the muscles of your calves are symptomatic of a potassium/kalium deficiency. What a way to wake up suddenly...

Next time, grab a teaspoonful of honey and eat it slowly. Work every time.

You do not necessarily have to gain weight. I quit cold turkey, and lost weight... Have you tried chewing sugar-free gum when you feel like having a cigarette? Sometimes, that helps.

Maybe tendonitis? Layman's terms: tendon in foot injured or sprained. Perhaps a temporary foot brace can help?

Lettuce?

You made me laugh! Thanks

You are an exceptionally talented writer!

That "all of y'all" is so... SC...? According to MFP when I list my foods, black coffee (Folgers) has a zero calorie count. Isn't that correct, then?

You'll simply have to get over your "mom-daughter" hangups. Talk to yourself - fix this. (You're probably misreading her intentions.) As for "mild depression." Have you actually been diagnosed by a trained professional as "mildly" depressive? Even light exercise will release the feel-good hormones (endorphin) in your body,…
