Do you ladies have a navel measurement? That is where my concern is :)
-
Thank you for the tips! I am actually quite knowledgeable when it comes to workouts, ESPECIALLY core workouts! I have a love/hate relationship with the TRX straps :) My core is still pretty weak, as I shake and shake on the TRX, but I can feel it getting stronger. And no, while we cannot spot reduce, if we work our core…

I am an apple shape, so my navel is the widest part where all of my fat all lies. My true waist doesn't gain or lose or than an inch or two.
-
Is that "waist" size at your true waist or your navel?

You guys are all so great! Thank you!! I am really getting a perspective on where I will need to be. I understand that I just have to work out and eat right and I will eventually get to where I should be, but I am a planner :) I like to plan things out, to look to the future and day dream about where I may be in two or…

Wow! It is looking like I would need to lose much more than a few inches around my belly to be where I want. I understand that everybody's body is different but dang! I feel as though Im only 20-25lbs over what would be a tight, toned body (Im not fat, just have some ugly fat in weird places). But I don't feel like I could…

Are those your true waist measurements? If that's the case, then mine is about 34". Im curious about your midsection measurement (at the bellybutton). Thanks gals!

Wellllllllllllll here's an update... I've been doing my best to carb up, especially before a workout. Had a big bowl of pasta last night (40-50 grams of carbs) about 1.5-2 hours before my workout last night... and I still crashed. I was scared that I was going to faint at the gym with nobody around. So now I'm shooting for…

Also, when I have shrimp (which is at least 4 times/week), I like to have it with whole grain rotini pasta. I usually eat a little more than a serving. Does that help? LOL
-
I hear ya! I usually have strawberries, bananas and grapes available always... but I ran out the other day and haven't made it to the store. Would that be enough, you think? If so, then I'll head to the store right after my workout here in a bit :)

Replying to the posts above: No, I don't mind at all if you hop on the train :) You didn't hijack the post! No worries :) It could be a low blood sugar thing... that's been something I've wondered for years about myself. But my thyroid and blood levels seemed to be in check last year when I had them checked for the first…

Those are all great ideas!! Thank you! Here is what I do so far: Frozen salmon filets Frozen tilapia filets Frozen shrimp (this is my splurge) Whole chicken breasts (I guess I could check out the butterflies at Fareway... that may be cheaper) Ground turkey breast Sometimes ground chicken Canned Tuna Frozen corn Frozen peas…

In response to the other post, I would say I have about 20-25lbs to lose. I do incorporate weight training into my workouts. I don't think it's much of a workout if it's just cardio :) What stats are you looking for, exactly? Female -24 -5'8" -175 as of this morning after my workout -Body Fat % varies greatly between…

Okay, I've gone in and read through some of the main stuff. I calculated my TDEE and all that good stuff and it has me eating 2000 calories/day. That's a huge jump. Which is fine, if that's what is going to help me. But I'm confused... What sort of activity should I be doing to help myself lose fat along with the 2000…

what is IIFYM?

I forgot that I use olive oil all the time :) Not a fan of avocados... I snack on sliced almonds and sunflower seeds at work. Beans don't do well with me LOL Any other ideas? Is red meat a go-to food?
-
Rock on! 24 with around 30lbs to lose! I love helping others as well as having others supporting me!!

Thanks for the feedback! The reason why i'm psyching myself out is because my ex's father went in to have a stress test done when he was about 50 and had a heart attack and died right there.... So I'm just going over that in my head a million times, but I want my dad to get healthy!

Yep, I'm a god, I guess lol. And I believe Depo was the only reason I lost weight and the only reason I gained when I went off of it. Here's my story: About 2 1/2 years ago, I went on Depo when I was at 175lbs. You get the shot every 3 months, and that is the only time I would get weighed. I was steadily losing about…

No lol.. I just don't like dealing with children. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE kids when they are between the ages of newborn and 18... Above 18 means to stop being immature.
-
I do not want anybody being immature in here. I'm not obsessive, it's just something that I check when I work out. I don't care about the number, but I noticed it was fluctuating a lot, so I came to ask for advice. Please stop replying if you are going to continue bickering. Yes, I drink at least 20-30oz of water with…

Okay, it sounds like this is a normal issue.. which is totally fine! And I weigh myself just for reference.... I'm not obsessed with it. It's just that the scale is on the way out the door at the gym, so I just stop and see where I'm at. Thanks for the feedback!
-
I appreciate the feedback!! It's not that I'm worried about my weight so much, because I know that I am exercising well and eating very well, so eventually I'll get to a point of healthy, which is what I want. I just don't want there to be some underlying issue that I'm ignoring. But if this is normal, then I'll take it…

Actually, I've heard of the slower movements being much more beneficial! I forgot about that, so thank you for bringing that up! As far as pushups go, I'm not good at doing a normal pushup yet, but I'm working on it. So eventually, I will try your variation. Thank you!

LOL! There is definitely a lot of things for us to try out there... I just got back from the gym for my first workout of the day. I did 20 minutes of treadmill running and then went to the row, lat pull down, tricep "pull down" (I think that's what you would call it), bent over tricep with dumbbells and standing dumbbell…
-
thank you for the idea! I just don't think that's in my budget.. We've got a lot of good people at our gym who I'm sure could help. I just don't know what to ask for help with. What should I be focusing on?
-
Do you have experience with this?
-
That's exactly what I want to move away from... SOFT! What heavy weights are we talking? I want to work on the lat machine today, I know... but what are some ideas?
-
Awesome! Do you guys have any experience with a registered dietitian, then? :)
-
It's not that I've limited myself to that... I always have only eaten a handful of foods LOL I've more or less just changed the handful of foods from unhealthy to healthy. I don't mind a whole lot, but I love the fact that I can eat a lot and it all be within my calorie and sodium range. If I eat unhealthy foods, I can't…
