  • I disagree. I've read this and talked to so many people who have said the same thing: Breakfast is THE most important meal of the day. When you don't eat, your body thinks you are fasting and starts storing more fat. We all "fast" during the night (when we sleep), so we need some breakfast, even if it's something small, to…
  • Honestly, here's what I eat: Meat: Chicken Breast Ground Turkey Breast Salmon Shrimp (lots of shrimp!!) Tilapia Fresh fish (that we catch) Veggies: Frozen Corn (a lot) Cauliflower Carrots (a lot) Fresh Green Beans Fruits: Grapes Bananas (almost every day before a workout) Apples Pineapple SO... I know I eat healthy lol,…
  • What are sultanas? I guess I could google that one.... lol I always have a banana or some whole grain crackers and NUTrition energy mix peanut butter (cinnamon and raisin) before my morning workout, then I eat 1 whole egg + 1 egg white before work.
  • How long have you been on that routine? Have you seen results? Good luck to ya!
  • For me, it's not a diet so much because that's just what I eat. When I'm consistently making sure I'm within my calorie goal and tracking, that is then a diet. What do you mean by macros? I have seen that term a lot. And I can't eat anything I want because I love salty foods LOL But I'm good with staying away from them for…
  • That's awesome!! How much did you lose on your midsection alone?
  • How much do you weigh, if you don't mind me asking? What body build do you have? Thank you for the encouragement! Any ideas on some ways to change up my workouts? I never really do the same workout two days in a row... but I always start off with 25-30 minutes of cardio (usually running, but I think I'm getting a bit of…
  • Cheating for me is either as small as allowing myself more sodium than I should have for the day (which happens more often), not calories... or it'll be these weekends where I eat brats, burgers, coleslaw, a bag of chips... those types of foods. Not all in one meal though! I don't stuff myself! Oh and drinking lol
  • Well, I'll say this much... I seriously really like healthy food! I've been eating *fairly* healthy since I graduated high school (6 years ago). I never buy snacky foods, as in chips, cookies, popcorn, etc. It's just that I've made a conscious choice to pull out ALL unhealthy foods/processed foods when I'm tracking. I eat…
  • Okay, well that makes me feel better! I love smoothies but I quit drinking them because they had like 3x my sugar level in them!
  • You're close to you goa! What are you doing to lose weight?
  • Well, good news is I've already lost 2lbs (not unhealthily, either)... So it must be water weight. Probably way too much salt on vacation :) How are you guys doing on your day to day goals??
  • 178 according to the scale last night (I know, I shouldn't be weighing at night) and I think it's about 26% according to a chart I looked at. 5'8" 24 years old Female Medium Frame 40" midsection (where I carry most of my weight, along with my inner thighs... they just hold a lot of fat, even though they are thin in size)
  • I guess I am going with the MFP settings... I just don't remember what I set as my goal when I made the account! Lol My weight has gone up since I made the account (because I never got on it), but it has me eating 1200 calories/day. That doesn't seem like much, but I get good food in: 1 egg+1 egg white+1 banana in the…
  • Well, I lost weight on it. But I hear ya! Thanks for the advice!
  • Well, I don't have a scale. Just the one at my gym. I think they may look at me funny if I take my clothes off to weigh myself ;) haha
  • I'm here to help! I think you guys are definitely right about depo. It's really made my weight roller coaster! I'm staying off of it for good this time because I'm worried about having children in the future. I haven't heard good things after the shot! I'm so excited to do some hard workouts! Let me know if you guys have…
  • Will it affect muscle gain/tone any? Thanks for the help ladies!
  • Good luck to you, as well! It's tough, but we can definitely do it! Signing up for the gym is the first step. Making yourself go is the second. And food is probably the most important! If I were a restaurant owner, I probably would've been overweight because of the food! So kudos to you for staying healthy then!
  • What do you snack on? I've found lots of awesome alternatives to what I want. First off, I love carrots or cauliflower and ranch. But I make the ranch with greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Tastes identical! My other new favorite is ranch/cayenne pretzels (I love ranch, can you tell?) There's quite a bit of sodium in…
