Attention 5'8" (ish) WOMEN!!
Hi there :) So I am a 5'8" woman and I weigh 170. At my highest this summer, I was 180. When I gain weight, I am shaped like an apple. My hips don't gain inches, but my midsection does. Right now, my bellybutton measurement is about 38.5"-39". I was down to 155 last year, which wasn't from working out or eating right, I…

Headaches...
I have been getting slight headaches along with being light headed and dizzy immediately after a workout. I have been increasing my calories, eating 80-100g of protein (I have 100-125lbs of lean muscle mass according to different calculators), and drinking plenty of water throughout my days. Can you guys think of something…

Food Budget
I'm a single gal. I would like to eat healthy consistently. I'm currently making a budget for myself to save up some money, but I'm wondering where to even start with the healthy food. When I go, I tend to go all out and get a bunch of stuff... then it goes bad cuz I can't eat it all. Can any of you give me a hint as to…

I need to up my calories!
So, MFP has me eating 1200 calories. And I know how to use those calories wisely with a lot of fish, shrimp, chicken breast, ground turkey breast, vegetables with every meal, some whole grain pasta, some fruit, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, eggs, etc. I feel full with every meal (sometimes a little too full, but not much).…

I am terrified!
So, this is something that I've been wanting to do with my dad for awhile. He is 58 this year. Overweight (5'8, 240-250lbs... mostly in his belly.. it protrudes straight out, not much on the sides). Been a smoker since he was a teen (smokes at least a pack a day). He drinks diet pepsi like it's going out of style. Doesn't…

Fluctuating weight...
So, a few weeks before I went on vacation, I weighed myself at 167 (nighttime after a workout). I didn't weigh myself for awhile until after vacation. Before I left, I was eating very healthy... 1200 calories, exercising moderately. After vacation (no, I didn't PIG out, but I didn't eat my normal healthy meals. However, I…

In need of some intensity...
So I've been going to the gym for awhile now. I usually hit it almost every day if not twice a day... I don't always do the same workout, but I tend to stay within the same machines/routines/etc. Here is what I typically will do: Start off on the treadmill (2:30 walk into interval running/walking... I end up getting over 2…

Nutritionist?
I feel like I eat well, but I want to be sure! And I want to know some other options out there for food that my simple mind may not know about :) Has anyone ever had a nutritionist come in and judge their food/talked about new foods?

Attn. Cheaters!!
How often do you allow yourself to cheat? And how bad do you cheat? I usually eat like a rockstar when I'm home and working, but when I go visit family on the weekends for golf tournaments (a lot during the summer), I know that I'm not going to. We cook all weekend for those who are golfing, and it would just be dumb to…

We're talkin inches, not pounds!
When I think about my goals, I think of how many inches I would like to lose, not pounds. This is how I measure out: Female 5'8" medium build 36D bust 40" midsection (the widest part, around my love handles and bellybutton) I'm not fat by any means, but I have fat and feel uncomfortable wearing any fitted shirts. Who else…

Saw the highest number on the scale... EVER!
Okay, so I'll give you a little background. I'm a 24 year old female who went from working on my feet to mainly a desk job. 2 years ago, I went on the depo shot, and oddly enough, it made me lose weight. I went from about 175 down to 154! Everyone called me a toothpick, but I still had fat because the weight didn't come…

Going over on sugar...
I keep going over on my sugar level because I eat a banana every morning, usually have carrots and maybe an apple throughout the day. With that on top of my regular foods (not high in sugar), my sugar level doubles or triples what my diary suggests. How will this affect me? Thanks!

I get so confused
Okay, I'm trying to figure this out... I've read about BMR and things like that and tried to understand how many calories I need to "exercise out" to make a deficit... but I'm just too dang confused. My BMR is 1636.1, I have a desk job now... sort of (I'm in marketing, so sometimes I move from place to place and sometimes…
