For me low carb is an average of about 50 per day. Some days a little over, other days I go way under. 95% of my carbs come from veggies and some dairy.

How many carbs depends on your goals. If you're wanting to get into and stay into keto than you want to keep it around 50. I wouldn't eat back exercise carbs. Once they're fairly soft I cut in half longways and the continue all the way around. The two halves should pull apart and then you can scoop out the pit, then the peel should come off a little easier. If you only eat half, you can store the other half in the fridge with a little squirt of lemon juice.

Perfection is an illusion. Its been my experience that the more perfect something looks the uglier it is behind the mask. Your cousin may be the exception to that, I don't know. My FB peeps that like to "preach" are usually the most judgmental, as well.
