I'm still fairly new to SL so my goals are also pretty simple: Aim to lift 3x a week Continue with the cardio I was already doing. Try and get my biscuit obsession under control! Try and get an actual home gym set up in the garage (funds depending)

I've just seen this thread! I'm Kerry I'm 35 and live in a rural village in Staffordshire, UK I've been married to my hubby Mark for just gone 12 years, together for 17 and we have 3 boys together, 12, 9 & almost 5 I've been a stay at home mum since the birth of our second child, he was born with congenital heart defects…

I tried high & low bar and preferred high bar. But then I am only completed my 5th session today so am still working out what is comfortable. One of the videos in the sticky up top recommended high bar (think it might have been girlgsonestrong) Anyway, I tried squatting with an unloaded bar, kept altering my stance, foot…

Thank-you! Do you know of a video that would show exactly how it is done as I learn far better by seeing. I use high bar to squat if it's any help.

Ugh! I had OHP yesterday and I find it the hardest one so far. Strangely, no aches or stiffness in my upper half, just my quads from squats. Maybe that means I'm doing it wrong?! My bar is light but I lifted 15kg for my OHP yesterday.

I just started last week with york spinlock vinyl barbell/dumbell 50kg set. I'm only 5ft 1, so the shorter bar (165cm) is a good starting point for me, plus it only weighs 1.9kg I am not pushing myself too far too fast as I am lifting t home and think I need to get good form before I worry about heavy weights.

Homemade spicy parsnip soup

Thanks!! I will try and keep my intake pretty uniform throughout the week then.

I'm a smidge under 5ft 1, I doubt I want to go below 8st (112) so another 9lbs will take me there. Thanks, I will work out -10 & -5% and see which suits me better. I am pretty good most days but do have the odd really hungry day! I don't really agree with the term "cheat days" but if I am going to have a day where I eat to…

I'm still trying to lose weight while toning up or not losing muscle mass and 1200 is what MFP put me on. I admit I rarely stick to it, eat back most of my exercise calories and then there is stuff I don't track (my bad...not having a negative effect on my weight loss yet) I have averaged 1526 in the last week. My TDEE is…

Both! I started lifting last week but wish I had started almost at the outset

I'm new too! I did my first day on Tuesday (started light, my upper body strength is truly pathetic!). I might have a go at workout B today but my quads.abductors are still feeling it, so may leave today as another recovery day and do it tomorrow. Feel free to add me.

Allergies for me are a sign that my period is imminent, just to be different! Have been pregnant 4 times and never had them as a symptom though. Take a test and I hope you get the result you want :-)

Just got back from a 7.5 mile (12km) walk. I can't run due to shin splints, so walking is more than adequate for my needs. I also like that it gives me some "me time". I live in a mostly rural area so plenty of fresh air & peace and quiet. I never count the every day type of walking I do, around the house, from the car to…

Feel free to add me, my diary is open to friends but as someone else said, I don't eat clean and move my butt so I can eat more, lol!

Nope, I eat what I want so long as I have the calories to do so or am willing to move my butt to burn the extra, I try and net as close to 1200 as I can

5'1 SW: 139.6 CW: 122.8 GW: 115 Strangely enough, I did WW almost 10 years ago and my GW was 124. I maintained it for quite a long time. I have had 2 more children in that time (have 3) so to be below where I was then is a huge achievement to me!

Start now! As someone else said, take your measurements and photographs. I only lost 3lbs in my first month BUT lost 10.5 inches I lost 6lbs in the last calendar month (I don't have much to lose really, about 20lbs) when I finally worked out that I needed to eat back almost all of my exercise calories. I try and have…
