Well, the definition that I go by is this one: http://www.cleaneatingmag.com/food-health/food-and-health-news/what-is-clean-eating/ If you sit and think on it for a minute, the gist of it is to eat naturally and to enjoy 'the not so good' foods in moderation. As far as eating 5-6 times a day goes, eat when you're hungry.…

Wow. I can tell you must be scared. Like MKEgal said, find a breast cancer support group. You're gonna need people around you. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Know what else those foods have in common? Sugar, High glycemic... Check your insurance plan, you may not need a referral to a Registered Dietitian. Many insurance companies do pay for visits to Dietitians. You may also be able to request that your doctor send your blood work to the dietitian as well. Most Doctor's don't…

I totally agree with you. Its crazy. I'm not the only one that realized that death by diet is perfectly acceptable here in the US. I'm with ya on wondering how to break the cycle. For me, I just keep restarting. I fall off the wagon, I restart, and repeat. Over and over. And maybe that realization is what is keeping me…

I'm with you. I'm not a fan of lifting weights or using resistance machines at all. I did learn my lesson though. I was a cardio junkie up until July of this year. I started having issues with my back, went to the chiropractor and was diagnosed with ITBS and SI joint issues. Well, I've been doing about an hours worth of…

If depends on how much effort you put into covering up the fact that it was you.

No need to wear 2 bras if you get one of these: http://www.enell.com They aren't cheap, but if you take care of them exactly like the care card says to, they last about a year or so.

Each of us is unique. There's not a thing wrong with the way you feel. I've gone through stages where I eat and work out like your friend. I've also gone through the same thing you are. I hate the phrase "workout routine" because 1) your body adapts and 2) anything only stays interesting for awhile, at least for me! I also…

Well, stay busy or put more space between your feedings. There's nothing wrong with eating in the evenings so long as you're still w/ in your calorie range. So, you find out why you're eating. Are you bored or are you hungry? Adjust meal and activity plans accordingly...

Well, that's the problem w/ bras for us big girls! Price. As far as support goes, anything recommended on http://www.titlenine.com. If for nothing else, check out the support ratings on that site. Once you know what the bra brand is sometimes you can find them on Amazon for a little bit less. I like the Enell Bras…

That's probably the closest thing in the exercise database on MFP. To find out what your calorie burn is you may have to get a heart rate monitor.

I completed Couch to 5k several years ago, and have repeated it a few times. Yeah, that middle week can cause a bit of a freak out, but give it a shot. You just might surprise yourself. However, if you don't feel ready for it, its ok to repeat weeks. Pay attention to what your body says, and if it doesn't feel right drop…

This^ The body adapts. Whatever you do for any length of time will need to be changed at some point. These are the 3 parameters you have to play with to manage your weight loss. Use them to suit your needs. I've lost 40 lbs and I've done both weight lifting and cardio both exclusively and combined. It all plays a role in…

In the county where I live, I needed the dates/times and believe it or not, a photograph of the aggressive dog. Once I had the photo, the Animal Control Officer was able to do something about charging the owners. So, maybe run w/ a phone capable of taking photos. Secondly, I would not attempt to hit the dog or run away as…

Well, it took me 3 years to lose 40 lbs. So, does it take patience. Heck yeah. That and consistency. You have to pick a plan and stick with it for awhile. Like someone said earlier, give an approach about 3 weeks to work.

I got a white one from my Chiropractor. Spent about $30 on it. I figured at that price it wasn't a huge hit. So far its holding its shape and does what it needs to do. It might not be a bad idea to get one of the softer one's until you get used to working with it. I absolutely did not like the nubby one's!

Studies or not, this is something that's easy enough to experiment with yourself. Personally, I found it easier to lose weight as I incorporated more organic, natural, and unprocessed food. In my case, I dropped 40 lbs between 2008 and 2011. My results spoke for themselves, and continue to.

Well, I own a Garmin 305. Once I run the route I upload the GPS track to Map My Run. If I end up running alone, I post the GPS track and date/time I start and expect to end. I have a group of friends that do the same. We have an agreement if that if we don't check in by the posted check in time somebody gets help.

Nope, but I didn't hesitate to defend myself when I had to.

Tea recipes, I can't really provide any advice on. I do drink tea, but I like my Orange Pekoe straight up over ice. By itself no sweeteners or lemon. Here are some quick Lunch recipes, use any of the following: Frozen Veggies : Broccoli, Asian/Oriental Blends, French Cut Green beans, California Blend, Spinach Nuts:…

Well, I cram as much lettuce as I can into two cups anyway. It won't pack tight and it pops out anyway. I figure if its lettuce, its not gonna be that many more calories anyway. I prefer to weigh mine though, its a lot easier than trying to cram lettuce into a 2 cup measuring cup.

I don't know a thing about eating disorders so, I'm just gonna answer as if you were just another one of the rest of us. Yes. Measure and weigh long enough to be able to eyeball correct serving sizes. Read the label, measure out the serving size, compare it to the size of your fist, hand, thumb or other body part for…

Do you eat a pre- and/or post- run snack? Sometimes when your diet is really good, it doesn't hurt to have a carb-based snack about 30-45 minutes before you run, or whatever is comfortable for you. Think Banana & Peanut butter, a few whole grain crackers and peanut butter, that sort of thing. After a run, water of course.…

Just out of curiosity, what makes a protein shake diabetic friendly? How many grams of carbs and sugar is too much? I've had pretty good luck with Almond Milk, have you tried that yet?

There are a few things that bother me about this: kids and not eating. She has to feed the kids at some point. Why isn't she eating when the kids are? If you bought frozen dinners, would those be convenient enough? GNC stores carry meal replacement shakes that aren't geared to body building. I wasn't crazy about them so I…
