  • I've been living in Japan for almost 4 years now and here's what I can tell you about women's plus size clothing. Men's is a little easier to find, but not too much easier... I'm an 18-20 in Canada/US sizing, and I can find tops without much trouble at Aeon and Ito Yokado department stores as well as Re-J, a chain store.…
  • Not really today, but today I'm back online and keeping track, so.... For Christmas I got: 2 Doctor Who shirts (one blue with the tardis on it and the other with 'hello sweetie' on it) 1 Big Bang Theory shirt (rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock diagram) The bag of holding and handbag of holding from Think Geek and Cmdr…
  • I've been re-watching New Who, and watched the adipose episode (Partners in Crime, S4E1) and realized that if someone came to me and said, "hey, here's a pill that will make you lose a kg a day, by turning it into an alien fat baby". I'd probably still buy it. I'd be good for 50-60 adipose. It seems to be a painless…
  • Over! That way no one has to reach behind searching. I especially hate public bathrooms where they've put the roll on under, since I don't know how clean other people's hands where if they had to reach for more paper and had to 'dig' for it. However, I will allow that under is acceptable for houses with small children or…
  • Flynn Ryder (guy from Tangled) (that should have been for guy above girl above me)
  • Just wanted to make a note about that last statement, which might have been said tongue-in-cheek, but I'm betting there's a little truth in it. There is a group for emotional eaters. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1012-emotional-eating I'm one,and it doesn't always work but sometimes it does help to have a place…
  • I've logged beer and hard cider under snacks. I tend to combine my cardio. If I bike to and from work at about a 15km/h pace, I count it as one 15 min trip rather than 2x10 min Walking to the closest train station and back (5 mins each way) is 10 mins.
  • I have two. The first I drew a picture and pinned it on my mirror for 6 months before getting it. It was a sunlike design. When I went to the tattoo shop I found something almost the same but different colours which I liked better (blues rather than reds and oranges). If I could go back, I'd have them do it about 2 inches…

  • I have a leather skirt I found at a resale store, I really want to be able to wear it. I bought it years ago, and it's nice and soft and I hope that one day it'll fit. If it doesn't, at least it was only $5.
  • Depends on how far back I could go... 5 years, Stay in Japan...don't go home because you'll come back 10 years, Get to the gym & eat right during French Training, so you're ready for your next phase of training 15 years, Less drinkin' Thursdays more studying..don't risk your degree by almost failing out. 20 years, When you…
  • I guessed 25% bigger. I don't think I agree with that, but it was kinda interesting.
  • My dream package when I reach goal (money is no object): New wardrobe of cute dresses, pants and shirts Matching bras and panties A trip home to see my family My dream package for now: Good running/work out shoes Good sports bras (impossible to find for big girls in Japan) Gym membership Personal Trainer
  • My goal is around 2000 right now, and it changes when I change my goal weight. I am a horrible eater and I get lunch at school (I'm a teacher), which is great, but usually averages 700-800 cals, so if I want to be able to eat breakfast and dinner, I can't eat at 1200. Plus, I don't want to lose the weight too fast, so my…
  • I count my bike ride to and from work, even though I'm not biking really fast or for very long (about 10 minutes each way) I'll also count walks that are over 5 minutes even if I'm not going really fast. Sure it only adds up to 75 or 100 calories, but it's better than nothing.
  • I voted in BBCAmerica's anglofan favourite poll. Hardest two decisions were Matt Smith vs Kit Harington and Patrick Stewart vs Ian McKellen If you want to vote: http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2013/07/vote-in-the-anglo-fan-favorites-tournament-men-of-2013-round-1/
  • The first I AM CANADIAN commercial: http://youtu.be/WMxGVfk09lU Hey, I'm not a lumberjack, Or a fur trader. And I don't live in an igloo Or eat blubber Or own a dogsled. And I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzie from Canada, Although I'm sure they're really, really nice. I have a Prime Minister, not a President. I speak…
  • Cheese sticks/cheesies/cheese curls, whatever you call these: and rippled/ruffled chips and sour cream onion dip. Even worse if it's Heluva Good french onion dip
  • Watching some old Columbo mystery. Episode 4, don't know what year.
  • The daily high here just outside Tokyo, Japan is about 33 degrees, but along with 60-80 sometimes even 100% humidty. Sometimes I find myself quoting Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam : ""It's hot. Damn hot! Real hot! ..." Well, can you tell me what it feels like. "Fool, it's hot! I told you again! Were you born on the…
  • I have an electronic scale, and if I put the bowl on the scale before I turn it on, it automatically zeros out. Just a tip if you buy a scale that doesn't have a zero-out.
  • Are you getting KJ and calories confused? 1200 calories is about 5000 KJ. I think you can have your system set up for two different measurement systems ( I have both lbs and Kgs)
  • I was really confused, wondering what ads the OP was talking about. Then I realized I have an adblocker so I don't see any ads. Now I know why there's a big white space to the right of my screen.
  • Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, but like the person above me I don't get thousands. I count my biking to and from work, and walking more than 5 minutes (but it's usually only around 10) so it's only around 200-300. If/When I start really buring calories from working out, I'll probably aim to eat back about half of them.
  • I admit I'm an 'adult' and I'm envious of many people. My best friend has lost weight (not that I thought she needed to, but she did) by getting to the gym and eating healthy. I wish I had her willpower for eating healthier. My cousin is a wicked crazy runner, and I wish I could like running as much as she does. I know…

  • My first reaction would be to ask her "have you ever considered not being a *****" but I probably wouldn't actually say it. My second thought, and probably what came out of my mouth would be more along the lines of " Excuse me?!" in a very disgusted tone and watch her backpedal as she realised what a wench she was being.
  • Not an immigrant, but a Canadian ex-pat in Japan. Most of the foods I miss aren't really good for me but I obviously didn't eat that great if I'm here trying to lose weight. Humpty Dumpty Cheesies (or cheese sticks if you prefer), Though I did recently find Herr's baked cheese curls at a foreign food store, and they're…
  • I have to admit, this is my biggest fear with losing lots of weight. I technically could lose over 100 lbs, but I don't think I'd ever go that far because I'd be worried I would look like a that gif of Stewie. If I'm doing this to feel good about myself and I don't, what was the point. While I am playing the long game (1…
  • Firefly, Eureka, Dollhouse, The Dresden Files, Terra Nova, Stargate (any of them). I'm sure I could think of tons more that ended without a good ending/an actual ending.
