If I read your profile correctly, you're in the 300 lb. range? You need more calories. Perhaps try smaller meals throughout the day?

She probably means she gave up added sugars. My doctor asked me to try giving up added sugar, but specifically said that I could continue to eat fruit.

I definitely believe that. That's why I stay away from the Fraps, but a latte or chai now and again isn't necessarily bad for you.

Where are you getting your nutritional information? Even the Venti size Chai Tea Latte with Whole Milk is only 340 calories... (source: Starbucks website.) I regularly drink a tall made with nf milk, and it's in the 160 cal range.

Interesting. I'm already taking the UCSF nutrition course, and it's going well. This looks fun! Bump for those who might be interested.

I'm new to this, but would like to participate. I'd like to set a goal of 75 miles. :) <a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/exercise/wPKEZiX/"> <img border="0" src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wPKEZiX/exercise.png"></a>

I agree with the above poster, make sure you are hydrated and have eaten enough before working out. I got ill during a first training session with a personal trainer and he made me sit down and eat something before continuing.

I'd like to join in if there are spots left. This would be my first challenge. :)

Just signed up - bump for those that haven't heard about it yet. :)

I'm 33 and just started a few weeks ago. Feel free to add me. :)

All fitbits count calories even when they're not attached to you. I have the zip, take it off every night and it has counted calories that I theoretically should have been burning overnight. It's designed to do that so that it acurately counts the calories you burned throughout the day. You still burn calories, even if…

^This. Are you sure you haven't overestimated the amount of calories you've burned?

Good for you! I'm around the same weight you are and I'm hoping to start C25K today. I hope to be ready for an actual 5K by September. Keep up the good work! :)
