  • Food costs money, man. If you are just barely making rent without feeding yourself adequately, you need to look at either how much you are spending on rent or how much you're making between work and student loans. Last resort, check into welfare or food shelves. If you're really that hard up that you can't buy chicken,…
  • No one is trying to be negative here. Your recipe looks delicious and we just want to know how to make it! A lot of us like to be as precise as possible with our calories since that's a lot of what the MFP program entails.
  • I agree with this. You gotta be more specific. You can literally eat anything and it will be good for you in moderation. Are you looking for meals, snacks, breakfast, lunch, dinner? What do you like to eat? What don't you like to eat? Get out of the mindset that chicken is the only thing "good for you." You'll get bored of…

  • I've found the recipe editor really doesn't work on apps. It should work on the website though.
  • If you want something sweet, cottage cheese is the way to go. You can flavor it up so many different ways. I prefer more savory snacks, so my go-to snacks right now are roasted edamame (found in the bulk section of the grocery) and turkey sticks (similar to Slim Jim, but more like meat and less like leather).
  • You can get canned chicken and tuna for cheap. They are precooked so you don't need to heat them up if you don't want. You can make chicken or tuna salad with those. You can also improve your ramen by adding veggies, egg, or meat. Buy frozen veggies which are cheaper and last longer. Buy a tube of ground beef or turkey,…
  • I haven't had many traditional Thanksgivings since I was a kid, but I'll tell you what I remember loving the most. First off, sweet potatoes with marshmallows are DEFINITELY one of the best things. Other favorites include:* Turkey (I like white meat the best) * Mashed potatoes with butter and gravy * Cranberry sauce (you…
  • http://www.buzzfeed.com/lindsayhunt/delicious-ways-to-use-ricotta-cheese#.yuWKX7ozR7 Buzzfeed Food just went on a crazy ricotta kick this past week. They even have an article on how to make your own. Not all of these recipes are necessarily low-cal, but they are good!
  • Man, I missed your face. You're right. I shouldn't have suggested something so full of chemicals and frankengenes.
  • BRAT (bananas, rice, applesauce, toast) if you're having any intestinal distress. If you're feeling more of a head cold, go for that chicken soup. There are more natural/organic kinds in the "health food" section of the grocery store.
  • Sorry, but your instructions are unclear. You need to include the amount of each ingredient you are using and how many servings it makes. You say later that it makes 4 servings, yet your picture shows only 2 (maybe three if there's one peeking out in the back). People are disputing the amount of calories because you don't…
  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/welcome/guidelines This community guideline may have something to do with it. The best appetite suppressant with no negative side effects is WATER. Full your belly with hydration and you'll be less hungry. Sometimes our bodies think they are hungry when they are actually thirsty.
  • Greek yogurt in everything!
  • Don't stay in a relationship that is harmful to you. Start saving money on your own or ask for family support to get out of there. Don't allow ANYONE to talk to you like he does. You don't deserve it. If he calls you "fat" and "lazy," how much respect will he have for your daughter as she grows up? Don't let her grow up…
  • Food is not good or bad. Some food has more calories than others. Some foods have different macronutrient ratios. Some foods make you feel differently after you eat them. You are attaching your own value system to the food. If eating a cookie makes you feel like fat is instantly accumulating on your body, you do not have a…
  • All these things are vegan:
  • What? :/
  • I'm glad that our society has the resources to allow people to be vegetarian. I have no problem with people making that choice for themselves. However, we are an omnivorous species and my mood is severely affected if I don't have meat. Vegetable proteins do not satisfy me in the same way.
  • Why did you buy it if you don't like it? The only way I can eat it is "ants-on-a-log" style. Peanut butter and raisins, yum!
  • I prep oatmeal in tupperware on Sundays to take to work every morning. I add different things every week to mix up the flavors. This coming week I'm having pumpkin pie oatmeal. It's just 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/2 cup pumpkin puree, and 1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. I add hot water once I get to work and let it sit a couple…

  • Sliced with skin on, tossed with olive oil and spices, baked.
  • http://thefrugalgirls.com/2013/04/crockpot-orange-chicken-recipe.html I made this for my lunches this week. It's easy and suuuper low fat. It may be a little high in carbs because of the marmalade and BBQ, but it's really tasty!
  • Read the rest of the recipes forum, literally thousands have already been uploaded. Make the effort to look through it instead of demanding we post them again directly to you.
  • I am 5'2" and a few years ago, I had a ton of success on MFP. I made a Success Story post which I will link here. Unfortunately, life presents challenges and I am now heavier than my starting weight on that post. I'm determined to get back to where I was! At my lowest weight I was fitting 12-14 pants and M-L shirts. I…
  • This a million times. Losing weight "fast" is also extremely unhealthy. You mentioned that you aren't overweight to begin with. Why do you want to lose weight so fast? Do you want to look leaner? Have more muscle tone? That requires taking care of your body, not abusing it. The number on the scale means little when body…
