  • I read this article as well. I don't drink many diet drinks (I don't like the taste), but the article doesn't specifically say what causes those in the studies to be fatter. This is more of a correlation study in my opinion, rather than showing how it is unheathy.

  • I'd put sedentary if you plan on logging the 3-4km walk. Otherwise, I'd do lightly active. I think the difference is if you want it to assume you're already moving around alot rather than you entering it. I have a desk job, so I put sedentary and then log all my activity.
