I COMPLETELY agree! LOL

I act at a Summer theatre and was volunteering for the current production. One of the patrons, as he was handing me his ticket, said that he could tell I'd lost weight since last year and that I looked great. I did a marathon on my treadmill yesterday in a little over 5 hours. And my pre-fat clothes are even too big on me…

I used to get the criticism, too. And always from people who were technically obese. Anytime the bad food, sweets, snacks, etc were offered, I just said, "No, thank you." I'm now very healthy and the best shape I've been in my whole life. 5'1' & 115 lbs (just a little over 52 kg) Those naysayers & critics? They're trying…

For me, it's kind of the same thing. I'm doing it for my health, but being healthier definitely makes me feel more attractive. But I don't give a damn about what anyone else thinks. It's all for me.

I'm a treadmill runner. I can go hours on the machine. Outdoor running is infinitely different. But last night, not sure what overtook me, but I felt this need to go for an outside run. I did a little over 2 miles in 24 minutes! I was so excited!

I always bake the whole thing and then cut it open after cooking. MUCH easier.

I wish I'd seen yours before I posted! It's exactly the same for me.

Not much. Especially if the endorphins kick in. It's easy to just let go, turn off my brain and let my legs keep moving. Then when I'm finished, I feel crazy relaxed. It's almost meditation for me.

If this is happening, then you're on the right track. I would stop obsessing over the scale & the numbers and go by how you're feeling. In fact, were I you, at this point I would throw out the scale, continue to exercise & eat right and not even buy another scale for at least a month.

Sounds to me (not to go all armchair psychologist or anything) that she's always been jealous of you.

I once saw a play where an actor was so bad, all I said in the car ride home was, "I want to punch that talent-less hack in the throat." I said it repeatedly. I'm saving my punch for him.

December totals. As of today I've: run 98.8 biked 34.1 and walked 5 Since I started tracking my runs & walks back in mid January 2011, my goal was to hit 2000 total by year's end. I hit 2000 last week. Woot! And now that my husband bought me (us) a stationary bike for Christmas, I'm going to add in those miles, too, and my…

I toss some fruit, water & protein power in my nutriblast and make my own shakes! They're healthy and taste great.

Yes! But I'm horribly OCD. LOL I also know that it isn't the end of the world and just get to it again the next day. And then I'll work harder & longer to make up for the missed day. It's all good in the end.

I love my smarthealth pedometer that, while it make not be *exact*, gives me my calorie burn.
-
I'll admit it: I'm vain. I love the compliments and admiring glances I receive. Plus, I feel SO Healthy! With a capital H!

5'1" and 140 I'm small boned so I knew I had to get it back under control before it spiraled even more. I've lost close to 23 pounds and I'd love to get down to 115 just so I can say that I've lost 25 pounds, but I don't "need" to lose any more weight. I'm looking & feeling pretty fantastic. There aren't a lot of 49 year…

I was on my own for dinner tonight since hubby has a show opening, so I had a frozen Atkins meal: their new Italian style pasta bake. It was pretty good, too! And now I still have extra calories so we can share a bottle of wine later! ;)
-
That's fantastic!

I've lowered my white carbs and eat only whole grains now. I haven't cut out carbs completely, but try to keep them @40g a day. Sometimes it's more and other days less, but it all evens out in the end. I don't stress if I go over. I always have hardboiled eggs in my refrigerator now, and they are a great and quick "go-to"…

That's fantastic!

Good for you! Speaking as a fellow actor, I know all about needing to fit a certain type in order to be cast. I'm proud of you!

Before I really hit my stride with my weight loss journey, I was doing a play and ended up supplying my own costume. This morning, just for ****zngiggles, I tried on the pants. They fell off. No exaggeration. Completely slid right down my legs.
-
When I wanted to lose fast in the beginning of my journey, I ate maybe 1 packet a week since it was a 2 serving dish. I'd cook the whole thing and then refrigerate the rest. They fill you up.

Well, it's a zero calorie food, so I've lost weight eating them. I add just a little peanut sauce pan frying them, and it makes them taste much better.
-
My husband and I have a seasonal cheat meal. Our Autumn cheat day is coming up, and we'll have my homemade chicken parmesan with garlic fettuccine, a loaf of artisan bread (using lots of butter) and a bottle of a nice red wine. This will put me waaaaaaay over my caloric intake, but since we're only now doing meals…
-
I cut out processed, sugary foods & drinks almost completely. And I'd say that I've given up fast food, but I never really ate a lot of that, anyway.
-
I just add it to my water count. Whatever calories you might get from the fruit & veggies will be negligible and probably end up counting as negative calories.

I like feeling sexy. I like making heads turn. I like being able to have the "cheat" foods occasionally. It makes me feel as though I've accomplished something. And when I'm really working, I can turn off my brain for a while and not concern myself with anything other than the joy of working out.
