I'm eating 1600 to 2000 calories. I am only 5'1" but I am also breastfeeding. I eat back my calories. And hey, I'm also two weeks into the program!

^^ I agree, nuts aren't as high in protein as people think, but they are a good source. Same goes for eggs. I can't do dairy, so When I'm not eating much meat, I have to reach my protein goals with protein powder mixed in almond milk.

Firstly, make sure it's not thirst. Then, yes, I say eat when hungry, but stick to high proteins, fiber filled foods, and healthy options.

Ha! My parents did that when they came to visit my college years ago. Dad collected a few and cooked them when we got home. They tasted terrible! Not really sure why.

Same here. He can eat anything and never gain.

I was diagnosed with diastasis recti, which means my abdominal muscles have separated and my pelvic floor is weak. I didn't realize it until a few months ago, and my fighter is now 10 months. I had actually been overdoing it, and would be sore and achy in my lower pelvic area for days. I was trying so hard to be healthy…

Yum! I don't do too well with too much bread, so this is a great option!

My calorie goal was set for 2000 calories, eating back exercise calories. Now that my daughter nurses less, I've set it to 1800 and have increased my exercise a bit more. If you a hungry, eat. Just aim for a diet high in healthy fats and lean proteins.

Your pelvic muscles weaken considerably after a baby. I began lifting and was so sore in my lower belly I had to stop. Turns out I have a mild case of diastasis recti, which causes a protruding belly and weakened muscles. The lifting aggravated it. Have you talked to your doctor about this?

Thanks for this! Best of luck to you and your family!

I'm in the same boat. My baby is 9 months and now it's going away slowly. I had a difficult time finding the right balance of calories and exercise to not affect my milk supply. Just keep at it!
-
Yeah...well, that's still not healthy. And at the range you have replied with, with 102 being your highest, I wonder why you are worried about your body fat. If it's true that you have a baby, then I suggest you seek the help of a professional for your body image issues, if not for yourself, at least for the sake of your…

My overweight niece, who is 18 and 5 feet, about 200 lbs, who will make any excuse whatsoever to tell me that my healthy eating and exercise isn't "good for me" in one way or another. "That's too much protein." "Granola bars are healthy and greek yogurt isn't." "Coffee isn't good for you." "You are going to damage your…

Same here. I have used it within 14 days without an issue.

I do high protein (usually well over 100 grams) and high healthy fats. I was told by my midwife that those things are crucial for a nursing mother, but I do not have my macros set because i have to play around with my calories in general.
-
I always go up 4-5 lbs when starting a new exercise routine. It's your muscles swelling and retaining water.

I will try adding in more coconut oil! Thanks so much! I always make my cookies with coconut oil, so that might have a lot to do with it, including the brewers yeast and other things in the cookies. I use about 8 tbsp. for 12 large cookies. i also just ordered a bottle of marshmallow root which is said to also help produce…

She is almost 9 months but still needs at least 4-5 oz. while I am at work. I ate like, 6 lactation cookies yesterday and was able to pump over 3 oz in one session. I guess I will have to rely on these. I worry a bit because my daughter is petite (only 14.5 lbs) and while she is taking solids, she still needs mama's milk.
-
Oh yes, if I factor in my coffees and juices, I think i am drinking that much most days. And if it's after or during a vigorous work out, I do drink at least 30 oz.
-
Where did you read that? I have days where I can definitely have that much in a day, but usually I end up at about 80 oz. I find that I get super thirsty from the breastfeeding and nothing helps except water.
-
I drink too much water and actually will stop myself from getting water at work because I realized I was hogging it all. We had to start order an extra water cooler bottle every week because of me. :( But...I know that laziness is definitely a factor in weight gain, yet there is also an emotional and mental aspect to it…

Support as in Spanx? You're right! I should buy some. LOL I just had a bad hormonal moment. I am petite myself, but the pregnancy weight loss has been very difficult both times!

Great job!!!!!

I power pumped over the weekend and it seemed to help a bit by about half an ounce. Thanks so much for the suggestion! I am able to get the necessary ounces for my daughter by also pumping at home at each nursing session, which results in 1/4 to a full ounce each time. I alternated between a manual and electric pump, just…

Just keep up with it and the fat in the midsection will definitely go away. Remember that fat in that area requires a good diet too.
-
I almost cried when I saw Kate Middleton on TV, 5 weeks post partum and looking INCREDIBLE. Here I am, almost 9 months PP and still struggling!!!!!!!!
-
Just finished pumping today. I did 3x instead of 2x and I barely have 3 ounces. I am going to double check all my removable pump parts and see if they need to be replaced. My breasts don't feel as full either so I highly doubt it's a pump issue. My nipples are actually a bit sore because I have been turning up the suction…

My husband is naturally thin because of his super fast metabolism. While I would appreciate his support by having him eat healthier with me, as well as exercising with me, I am not his mother and cannot force him to do anything. Since he works hard, I will cook him the unhealthy foods he loves, as well pick up any fast…

Hahaha about the NM. That's how my sister and cousins all are (we had babies all around the same time). And here I am, all dumpy and feeling gross. I am thankful my daughter is getting solids but I would just like enough to maintain her until I get home from work. I think the fact that I am away from her for 9 hours and…

I don't log my bfing. I used to but I found that it caused me to overeat and maintain. Now I just set my caloric goal to 2000 calories a day. I log exercise but not bfing.
