Echoing what others have said... It ain't all that serious. What they have listed is close enough. Worst case scenario, you gain a few fractions of a pound. So what? Burn it off the next day.

My period was wonky for a couple months after I got started. I was very heavy, too, at 299 lbs. I went from eating 2,200+ calories a day with no exercise to netting 1,200 and exercising almost everyday. I think it's normal for your body to react to extreme changes like that. If your cycles don't even out after 3 months,…

I'm not actually following the 30 rep thing. I do an arm toning video. I just posted that pic to show the type of moves the video incorporates. Thanks guys!

Ughh. That sucks. I'll "just keep swimming" and see what happens. :/

This. I originally had different rewards planned (clothes, massage, new running shoes, etc), but I never followed through with them. The amazing feeling I get when I see those lower numbers on the scale is reward enough for me... Then I proceed to happy dance.

Welcome! I started at 299 and am now at 210... If I can do it, you can, too! Jump in with both feet and never look back! Good luck on your journey!

I didn't realize she was so close to her goal weight. That changes things a bit :)
-
At the time she made the post, Christmas was 7 full weeks away... that's a 2 lb per week loss. You'd have to be pretty disciplined, but it's definitely healthy and sustainable.

Because I celebrate progress, not just perfection :)

Most people don't lack the desire to lose weight, they lack the will and determination to do so. What bearing does it have on you?
-
Ahhh, gotcha. A blessing and a curse! At least you know they'll get smaller as your lose weight. Good luck with your journey!

People tell me I carry my weight well, but nothing like you... I've never in my life heard of someone with your stats. I'm 5'10, 223 lbs, and I wear a size 16 or 18 depending on brand. Where in the world do you keep your weight??? LOL. As others have said, diet is paramount.

I have one, but I don't use it for EVERYTHING. Some things I just eyeball, especially if it's low in calories. Like, my husband and usually split a bag of frozen vegetables as part of our dinner- I just cook them all together and split them up on our plates as best as I can. However, I find the scale essential for calorie…

In your case, I wouldn't start "slow." I would start at an intermediate level. You're already doing some exercise, so I would just kick it up a notch or 2. Your body is the best indicator of what's too much. Push yourself, but listen to your body. Slight fatigue and delayed muscle soreness is normal, but pain is not.…

This is exactly what I did. I tried C25K, but I didn't like feeling so structured. Doing it on my own has taken longer, but it's much more enjoyable.

Yup, last resort, though! Hopefully Nerdwax will do the trick. It almost seems too good to be true!
-
I would think a good quality strap would work for high impact cardio, I just hate the look of them. I don't need any extra help looking like a doofus in Zumba lol.
-
I just looked it up... It's called Nerdwax. May have to get me some of that! Edit: I just ordered a tube. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm 29 and have been here since May... Height: 5'10" SW: 299 CW: 225 GW: 185 Anyone can add me! :)

That's interesting. I've had glasses since I was 9 years old, but I've always had plastic frames. Maybe it's time to convert.
-
I've seen those. I was hoping for something a little more low profile and maybe a specific product recommendation. Although from the googling I've done, it looks like that may be all there is out there. :/

Yesterday, I ran a mile without stopping for the first time, ever. I felt like a friggin superhero. B)

70 pounds lost and my wedding dress fits again... Happy tears!

This. Cotton socks=sweaty feet=blisters.

I started working out and modifying my diet at the same time. My journey has always been about being healthy, not just being thin. I wanted to be able to run for my life if I ever needed to, and to run around on the play ground with my future children, and to take a shower without feeling winded (yeah, it was THAT bad,…

I've never done T25, but I would encourage you to go for it. I started out at 299 lbs doing 30DS and Zumba. It was really, really hard for a while, but I'm in better shape now than I've been since high school and I'm still 229 lbs! Just get started with SOMETHING and take it at your own pace. Also, as previous posters have…

Here are two super simple chicken recipes I use all the time. I usually pair them with frozen veggies. Both make enough for 2 people. Salsa Chicken: 1 Tbsp olive oil 8 chicken tenderloins (usually 1.25 lbs or so) Salt and pepper 1 cup salsa 1/4 cup light sour cream In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.…

Wow! That's awesome! I've always had a love/hate relationship with Halloween because of my weight. All the cute costumes are for smaller girls! You look great- fantastic job!

I don't understand why one is superior to the other. I have a gym membership. I use it two or three days a week for the classes, or when there's inclement weather. The rest of the time, I jog outside. I will say that I do get a better workout from jogging outside than I do on the treadmill, but the treadmill definitely has…

I've never tried the Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, but their ice cream bars are AMAZING. My favorite are the Chocolate Truffle Bars- Only 100 cals and well worth it!
