I studied abroad for a year in Guanajuato, mexico - where are you heading? Honestly.... I wouldn't worry too much about it. The beauty of the food down there is that your not eating processed crap. I actually lost weight because you have to walk everywhere - or walk to a place that you can take a bus from. I enjoyed…

My doc told me not to even worry about the scale - that it really truley isn't the best tool to show you how you are doing on your journey. I was getting frustrated thinking that I needed to lose pounds, when in fact my doc said....well how are your clothes fitting? She was right.... the scale wasn't budging much, but my…

I haven't had that issue with my Polar HRM (knock on wood ) but I do get it wet right before I use it, also I know mine had a warranty - I just had to keep the receipt and box. Have you checked out the warranty to seeif it is something that's covered?

I buy most of my clothes second hand lately while I'm losing weight - no sense in spending all the money just to see it go out the door amonth later. Sooooooo..... what I love to treat myself to is stuff to help me in my workouts. At one point, I bought myself a heart rate monitor....... at Christmas I got a new gym bag…

With my three year old he always wants a "treat" when I go grocery shopping. Instead of bringing home a candy bar, etc, I started buying him a special fruit that wasn't on my normal list. I always bring home apples, bananas, and then one other fruit of whatever is in season and cheap. But then I will bring home one thing…

some healthy fats will help to boost the calories without increasing your carbs..... think peanut butter, avacados, peanuts, olive oil, etc.

Once I switched to fully underwritten and qualified as preferred - I was able to switch from 10 yr to 20 yr term and increase my policy by $50,000 and it was $2/cheaper a month. !!!!!

Realizing that I just wasn't as happy with myself any more, and that honestly, the only thing holding me back was me. I was sabotaging myself, and I knew I deserved better.

I switched too it too... I love it in my cereal - and it's low calorie & low carb. The rest of the fam drinks fat free milk and I tried to sneak the almond milk into my 3 year old's sippy cup and he took one sip and said "mommy what is this thick milk? I want my other milk. " hahahahah So I let him stick with the ff - but…

When I know that we are going to have to go to McDonald's, or somewhere similar, I always jump on to their website to see what I can order that won't ruin my diet. It really helps, seeing what is in the stuff before it is in front of you. McDonald's southwest salad is my "go to" option if we have to go to McD's. I have it…

On the contrary.... I think you'll probably run faster at your 5k. There is so much adrenaline and it is so motivating being surrounded by everyone else. I ran a 5k awhile back and there were 400+ people and i turned off my iPod for the first 10 minutes just because the sound of everyone's shoes hitting the pavement all at…

I said No to the entire "snack" counter at work that happens on Fridays. Every Friday, a different person brings in snacks for the staff. There was chocolate cake, wraps, crackers, bananas, oranges, and chips. i didnt' touch a thing.

I usually try to skip carbs at breakfast, and get some protein in. During the week I usually have a Carbmaster yogurt, and mix in berries & kashi go lean when i have it on hand. One of my favorite "on the go" is just a quick protein shake. And, on the weekends I like to make egg sandwiches for breakfast, or indulge with…
