I very much doubt it. It's probably not healthy to lose even half of that - 2lbs a week is a lot. Depending on your current weight, aiming to lose 1lb a week is probably much closer to a reasonable goal.

I find apples give a good fibre boost, and I think eating whole-grain bread and cereals helps. The good thing is, lots of high fibre foods - specifically, fresh veggies and fruits - are low in fat and calories.

Oh, I see. I get the impression that one of your major issues is finding time to prepare food in advance, and, possibly, with getting enough sleep? Would that be accurate? It just seems like you're using caffeine to stay awake, and that lots of your food is prepared on the fly, as it were. I could be totally wrong, of…

You forgot the lard.

I can only talk about this from the other side, really. I need to flirt. It's important to how I feel about myself. Plus, when I actively try not to, I find myself avoiding my (mostly male) friends. It makes my relationship healthier, that I don't rely solely on my partner to bolster my self-esteem, and make me feel good.…

From your diary, it looks like you're getting a lot of calories for very little food. I would suggest bulking out your meals with lots of veggies; add them to things like lasagne and bologanaise sauces - or tacos - to get more portions for a similar amount of calories. I'd seriously suggest eating breakfast. Something like…

I recently started a series on my (vegan) blog on cheap vegan meals. You can see the links in the sidebar; http://vegan20eleven.blogspot.com/search/label/Meals%20for%20Under%20%C2%A33 Not much atm, but I seriously recommend the lentil pasta sauce and the chickpea soup (the latter of which is crazy low in calories). There's…

I'm fairly sure that can be interpreted as not getting any tattoos in remembrance of the dead, not no tattoos in general. Leviticus is bull**** anyway, though. I think you should get something beautiful, that really sums up Christianity, rather than the bigotry often associated with it.

With that low amount of calories, it seems like you're trying to lose two pounds a week, which is probably too much. I would recommend upping your calories. I personally do best on 1600, and everyone has a different preference. Laddyboy, there's really no need to call people names. I would guess that Luanne simply had…

If you want pics of thigh pieces, mine are here; http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.218083252463.175487.584697463&l=8ea96ebefb&type=1 Please note that I am NOT the redhead; that's an image I found to illustrate how that kind of picture would look on skin. Mine hurt quite a bit, but I have a low pain tolerance, and…

1. You are not the OP. Nor is anyone else in this thread you. 2. On this particular menu, the bulk of these calories seem to be coming from grease. And to the people who are whinging on about how it doesn't matter if you go over your calories a bit; have you even looked at the menu? It ranges from 700-3000+ calories per…

I'm going to second dividing the extra calories over the rest of the week, and eating beforehand. Don't go for a super light breakfast and walk in there starving. I'd say, up your calories for this particular lunch to 700-800 or so - that should be easy enough to make up with a light dinner, and a few cuts over the rest of…

One of mine is on my inner left thigh, and I do like that placement. You can show it off or keep it hidden without having to think about it.:) Would it be vertical or horizontal, along your leg? And what kind of colours are you thinking? That kind of design would work with so many.

I love mah antneh.

What a ridiculous statement. Tattoos can look like anything; they're simply decoration. That's like saying earrings don't go with something, or hairstyles don't go with something. Some will, some won't - you can't make a sweeping statement about the entire category. On that note; why on earth would someone feel unable to…

The only justification anyone "needs" for a tattoo is; "I want that on my body". Nothing else. So, it really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.:D On a practical level, lots of tattoo artists would be happy to work with you to come up with a full design. Any ideas for placements?

It might be an idea to swap some of those fruits for veggies, due to the high sugar, but if that's your biggest problem, you're absolutely fine.

There are smarties other than the chocolatey ones?

Any ideas about how long these will keep, particularly the peas and cous? I live alone - no way I'm getting through ten portions any time soon!

I think you were firm but reasonable. You can't force someone else to be fit if they're not ready to be, and it's hurting you both to try.

I work in McArches. I hate seeing parents who buy their children and their toddlers happy meals, and then bribe them to eat it. "Make sure you eat up all your fat and salt, and then you can have fat and sugar as a reward!". Save that battle for broccoli!:( Besides, that's easily enough food for an adult; it's 600 calories!

You could cut the oil down ever further by using a spray oil.

I would disagree on the 5 minutes a day aspect. I think that's an excellent start, and is perfectly sustainable. I would also disagree with your method of expressing yourself. No one likes being told they're wrong. Even if you are right, people are going to want you to be wrong. You've probably done more harm than good…

That's pretty insulting, to lump us all together like that.

I run four times a week. I agree with changing the lengths of your runs. Try two shorts ones, one at a fast pace, and one at an easy pace, and then one long run. Don't increase your total distance by more than 10% each work. I'm training up from nothing to a half marathon, and by the time I'm able to run 10km at a time,…

One of the most common problems I've seen here is people not eating enough. Are you exercising? Cardio, strength, or both? Are you eating back those exercise calories? If you're not, try it. If you are, try eating less, since MFP can overestimate calories. What weightloss is your account set to? Unless you're obese, 2lbs…

I love homemade baked beans. Each recipe makes 4 portions, so you make it once, then microwave. Nutrients are listed under the recipe; http://vegan20eleven.blogspot.com/2011/04/homemade-baked-beans.html?zx=3796a1461929da88

Also, it may be worth checking the nutrients given for your foods, as you may be getting more protein than you think. There's no way that a chicken and vegetable soup would have no protein, for instance.

Oats and wholewheat pasta are pretty good for protein. I make seitan sausages from vital wheat gluten and cannellini beans, and those can have up to 20g for under 150cals. Whole proteins, too. You could also try flaxseed; that's quite fatty, but it's all good fats and whole proteins (which peanuts lack). Homemade baked…
