Hi I am having chicken thighs tonight. Found one entry on MFP that said 3 thighs = 146 cals. so going with that!

Tore the bottom of my beautiful crepe work trousers on my heels as going upstairs. Reason, they were falling off me so sat too low. New pair (size smaller) ordered Got hit upon by a very nice man whilst on holiday. Hubby not impressed Hubby commented on my much tighter *kitten*. Turned down a chocolate fudge brownie after…

Great post as I am having similar issues. Thanks, there is a lot of good advice there. For what is is worth, my scale loss has practically stopped but I have dropped two dress sizes in a year. The first 20 pounds came off easily but the next 20 is proving difficult.

44DD to 38FF after a year of MFP!
-
Thanks for friending. Lets both try to eat more protein and kick those dratted scales!

Same here. Weight lifting is making a huge difference but I did some Hiit training yesterday and am really feeling it today! Losing inches but scales very stubborn... Good luck!

Hi Dana I also take a multi-vitamin and do check your iron levels too. I realised I was very low in iron so take a tablet for that. I am a little older than you, at 53, but the iron has made a huge difference and I don't feel so tired any more. Re salt. It is definitely addictive. Congratulations for being brave enough to…

Brilliant!

I so agree with that last comment! I had started to become "invisible". It isn't just about losing the weight, it is regaining confidence. I was on holiday recently and, wow, what a difference! I felt so much fitter and had a lot of fun.. I still have a long way to go but feel so much better about myself.... My daytime…

Exactly this! The scales are a pain in the ****! Take some measurements and the measure in one months time. The scales will catch up!
-
That is great to hear! And you will definitely get there as you are so motivated and found something that works for you..
-
Well done! Is your diary open to friends, in which case I will send you a friends request. You are doing brilliantly!

had to send back two size UK Size 20 outfits from different suppliers as too big. The 18s are slightly tight but another 3 months will sort that out. Meeting someone from my workplace whom I had not seen for a year and she asked me how I had lost weight My trainer commenting on how much weight I had lost from my face And…

Hi Lisa, I just read your profile, quite an inspiration.... How are you managing to stick at around 1400 per day permanently? I have to admit I love food and would find this quite difficult! Anyway, well done and I love your motivation... Babs

Friends only and I am thinking of defriending some who don't open their diaries. I find diary sharing really useful and it definitely makes me more accountable!

Fantastic. You should be very proud of yourself!

I have taken a screenshot of this just to remind myself to be patient! I am losing inches too but the scales are going down twice as slowly compared to dieting without exercise but the weight training has made me so much stronger and I enjoy it!

Hi! I dive too and also gained 4kg on holiday. One month later back down to preholiday weight so for me it was mainly water retention. 9 hour overnight flights play havoc with my system. So 4kmg down but the coral cuts still bad! :-) I log around 300 cals per dive as also think mfp overestimates. But I am 102kg so probably…

My macros are 40% fat and 30/30 so need to up protein and cut fat? Most fat comes from butter. I do eat a lot of vegetables but curry too!
-
Thanks everyone! Yes I have lost inches off my waist. About 3 I think but am still a gross 44 inches which I hate. I do have too much fat in my macros I think so will look at this again. I will carry on as I feel so much better and fitter than lady year and about 10 years younger!

If eating out ask them to cut it in half and put half in a takeout box before the other half arrives at the table! That way you won't be tempted to eat the other half. Bulk with salad. Enjoy the other half for breakfast the next day. I do this with curry and it works for me? :-)

Determined butt you look incredible. Thanks for the empathy everyone! Maybe I need to cut the fat down in my diet a bit more. On the other hand, when I did Atkins many years sgo my stomach really improved but I felt awful. Despite peri menopause I am feeling pretty good right now so will stick with what I am doing. That…

The dancing sounds great! Well done for sticking with it and losing so much in the first place. So to repeat some of the advice here, more water, more lean meat and veg. Less processed food, and find an exercise you really enjoy. And sort out that boyfriend of yours! It has taken me a year to educate my husband not to pour…

Great thread and everyone keeping it real! Thanks to the OP. I have found that interval training and weight training is really helping. My weight is on a plateau but I am losing inches and have dropped from a size 20-22 to an 18. . A lot of people have made some very positive comments too. I still scuba dive and sail, I am…
-
Congratulations that is great news. I wish more people would post how they worked through and broke a plateau. Interesting about rice v tofu too!
-
You look lovely and the dress is great. You can really see the difference, particularly with your arm shape..... such an inspriration. Thank you for posting.
-
Definitely wait. I dropped back to 1700 a day upon return from holiday 3 weeks ago and am dropping slowly but steadily. I actually think you might do harm dropping the cals before you go to be honest.
-
Very well done! What did you set your daily calories at and do you have any skinny fat? Sounds a bit personal so I hope you do not mind me asking...
-
Came back from holiday and started at one weight down from where I was previously. Was back up within three sessions. No problems. The holiday itself acted as a small reset and I am now losing again. Good luck!

Just an update. I had a two week holiday, ate and drank what I wanted, did a lot of watersports. Gained 4 pounds but it took just over 2 weeks to knock that off and I am now lower than my pre-holiday weight. I think giving my body a break did no harm at all!
