Hi Janette Just logged into my account on the computer as I usually use the phone app, and saw your post. You're right the Fiesty Fifties have gone quiet - guess we're not so fiesty after all, eh? Or maybe we are quietly fiesty, lol. What did I do right today? - Well I weighed in and saw that I'd lost 4lbs which included…

Well done Janette - glad you are doing it for you as that truly is the right motivation. Keep it going, you will get there!
-
lol - I'm 32 years down the line and still trying to lose that baby fat from my one and only....... You look great!

Hey Janette - well you can take a horse to water but you can't make it drink! At the end of the day, you've got to do this for you.... Let them pout all they like, that can't sabotage your efforts if you stick to it. You just have to be assertive and tell them you are doing it for your own health and that if they are happy…

The weather made a fantastic difference - I could have done with extending the weekend!

I don't have a dog - will my hubby do?

I have a book by Tom Venuto as I was looking at weights myself but think I would prefer a gym as I find this kind of workout boring. I much prefer cardio, and know that left to my own devices, I wouldn't probably do much. Tom's a great believer in using your own bodyweight and some dumbells for weight lifting - he might be…

Hi - I don't know much about lifting but I just wanted to acknowledge your post. I wish you the best of luck having a child. You might feel like you're staying the same but have you measured yourself? You've probably given your body a big shock by jumping into large amounts of exercise and cutting down so give it chance to…

Hmm - I am a bit poor on the stretching but I do start the elliptical off at a slightly slower speed before progressing. This week, I did try varying my work out by going backwards but the burn on the muscles in my thighs was horrendous - my movement was not fluid at all and I could only manage half a kilometre before…

Great post - thank you!

Always worth reporting so that newbies can take note - thanks

Wow fantastic! You certainly put in the effort - bloody well done!

Hi - when using the elliptical, what speed do you aim for?
-
Hi There - you really don't need to fast - eat regularly every day and just record it. It's the fasting that leads to the binging; I know I've been there. Don't be sorry - you didn't let anyone down. You just need to rethink it like I did :big hugs:

When using the elliptical trainer - what speed do you aim for. I do mine to music and hit around 17.3 k per hour (I do just under 40 mins worth as I aim for 10 k and it includes a bit of a warm up at a slower pace). I'm just wondering as I worry about what is recorded for calories by mfp and whether its accurate? I don't…

I'm day 5 on this challenge and up to 70 squats although I don't think I can get the form right - my bum is flat and I definitely want it rounder so will persevere after seeing these pics.

Well done - 9 inches is fantastic.

Laps round the kitchen, lol - glad to know there's someone else as daft as me!

Hey Leena125 - with you on the menopause front - that totally sneaked up on me and stole my life, my energy, my figure, etc. I'm determined to get it back though. My daughter is trying to get me to do the yoga thing with insanity but I've never been into that - too slow and boring.....lol. I can recommend a pedometer…

Hi there - this time I will succeed. I've never felt mentally more ready - lets hope we can keep this group going and motivate each other! I've no doubt I will need reminding of the first sentence of this post at some point, lol

I'm fully up for the fun at some point but I'd like to lose some of my tum first - I find I jiggle one way but the tum's going the other way........ Til then I'm on my elliptical trainer to dance music which has me going at a pace and walking as we have a pedometer challenge going at work for 10000 steps a day. Because I'm…
