Broccoli is high in calcium! I use Good Karma Unsweetened Flax Milk in my smoothies and that is high in calcium too. Eat a lot of leafy greens too. Kale is great. I always a cup chopped into my smoothies.

You are correct! Fruits are good carb! I love making fruit and kale smoothies for breakfast! I usually use Unsweetened Flax Milk for the omega 3s! One of my favorite fruit combos is strawberry kiwi banana! I use everything fresh though, no freezing.

I absolutely love my Vitamix! It was definitely worth the money and its been going strong for years!

You can check my diary. I'm vegan and I always surpass my protein goal. I can share dinner recipes as well. I had a delicious Tomato Swiss Chard Cannellini Bean Soup this week that is high in protein.

My diary is open! I get plenty of iron every day even without my multi vitamin. I stopped logging it since it has zero calories and I like to see how I'm doing without it. I usually post my recipes in the food notes section on the first day I use it, so usually early in the week, as I tend to make dinners to last…

I LOVE TO EAT! My target is 1750. I've lost 7 lbs in the month that I have been on MFP!

I am now drinking 10 cups a day and it's a big improvement from just 8. Before I started tracking I was likely only drinking 6 which ckearly wasn't anywhere near enough. I start my day with a cup of water with a tea spoon of lemon juice!

The best thing you can do is eat mostly whole fresh foods. Try to limit processed foods. Eat plenty of fresh greens. Try having fruit and nuts for snacks instead of cookies or crackers. Try out new recipes and keep it interesting!

I made this yesterday to last the week for myself and my husband. I eat it as half my dinner, but it's pretty nutritious on its own. P.S. my diary is open and I put new recipes in the food notes on the first day I use them. Tomato Swiss Chard Cannellini Bean Soup (vegan homemade): Sautee 1 medium yellow onion in 1 Tbsp…

Smoothies. I always have a whole banana in my smoothie. I use Unsweetened Flax Milk for the Omega 3 essential fatty acids and it's only 25 calories per cup. I then add a serving of hemp protein powder, a cup of chopped kale, and either more fruit (like strawberries and a kiwi) or half a Tbsp of peanut butter and 1 Tbsp…

Eat a lot of leafy greens, and well fresh fruit and vegetables in general. Don't worry about the sugar in fruit. You should try to avoid eating a lot of processed sugar though. Try some recipes with white beans. I just made a great soup with cannellini beans today: Tomato Swiss Chard Cannellini Bean Soup Sautee 1 medium…

The best thing you can do to lower your LDL is eat more fiber (fruits and fresh greens) and avoid eating animal fat (completely if possible). Onion and garlic are also known to help lower LDL. To raise your HDL you can eat avocado, nuts (walnuts, pecans, almonds, peanuts, pistachios, and macadamia nuts), olive oil,…

There is a spaghetti squash entree at the restaurant Ruby Tuesday if you want to try it out before you make it! I've had it before without the parmesan cheese that they sprinkle on (just ask them to leave it off if you want).

Watch those powder packs; they are often full of artificial sweeteners and other chemicals that are really bad for you. The only water additives I use are tea bags or a tsp of lemon juice in the glass of water I have first thing in the morning. It's so refreshing and good for you!

I recommend switching off of cereal for breakfast. I stopped eating cereal and now I have smoothies for breakfast. I use Unsweetened Flax Milk for the omega 3's and it's also only 25 calories per cup. I add hemp protein, kale, banana, strawberries, kiwi, or whatever other fruit I have on hand.

Don't listen to those people. The best thing you can do is focus your diet on raw fruits and vegetables. I don't eat exclusively raw, but try to eat more raw when I can. There is a group here that can help you: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/2434-veg-ns-raw-foodists I'm sure there are some completely raw foodies…

I giggled before your disclaimer! I am also increasing my water intake and now my pee sessions sound more like a high pressure hose!
