What an amazing story! Congrats!

I love white rice! If I eat it, I measure it out in portions so I know exactly how much I'm eating. Sometimes, I will make brown rice instead with meals -- just because I know it's easier for me to not eat so much. Because brown rice tastes like cardboard. There, I said it.

At your worst, did you see yourself as obese/unfit? Nope. I was in denial. I didn't spend a long time in front of the mirror either so I knew... I just didn't acknowledge it. What were your go to excuses to be that way? I didn't really make excuses. I think I just really didn't care. What popular myths were your go to? In…

Wow! I would LOVE to have that 5K time! Keep it up!

Also, Nike+ logs your shoe mileage for you, too. That's another thing I like about it.

I was diagnosed with PF two weeks ago and it has completely gone away with the daily recommended stretching exercises for PF, ibuprofen and wearing the night splint to bed. I've actually had this problem for years but just recently went to the doctor for it -- should've went sooner because PF caused a lot of discomfort…

You look fantastic!!

Amazing!! Your weight loss is incredible! Congrats! I'm down 77.5 and striving to hit the 100 pound mark too!

I've lost 77 pounds and I struggle everyday with seeing myself differently than the 273 pound girl I used to be. I do agree that pictures help tremendously. Congrats on your progress so far!!

Great job! That's awesome!

I started at 273 (5'3) and was allotted 1890. I didn't do much when it came to exercise back then -- just 15 minute walks and 30 minute stationary bike rides a couple of times a week. I still lost about 1 pound a week.

You look amazing!! Congratulations!!

New song on my playlist is Bangarang by Skrillex. It gets me pumped!

I was doing C25K when I was around 240-250 -- I took my time and went my own pace. I got shin splints because I didn't get fitted for the right shoes. So having good shoes goes a long way. I agree with cross-training too. Before I got into running again -- I took spin classes twice a week and I really feel that helped me…

I started with 15 minute walks -- then 30 minutes on a stationary bike -- then spin class -- then running. Little steps lead to big changes. Good luck! You can do it!

76 pounds lost since May of 2013! Still have a ways to go but am happy with my progress.

I had a real issue with IBS until I cut out the majority of processed foods and fast food out of my diet. It almost completely went away. Now I know that if my IBS is back -- I haven't been eating correctly and need to get back on track.

https://hoobears.wordpress.com/2011/04/04/belizean-chicken-stew-coconut-rice/ I serve the stewed chicken with regular steamed brown rice. It's really good and super easy!

I'm a fan of the Nike+ app -- I've been using it since November of last year and haven't used anything else for running since. If I bike, hike or walk -- I use Endomondo.

I don't really like sweet yogurt but I will eat savory yogurt. I'll buy plain Greek yogurt and make cucumber raita or tzatziki to go with my lunches.

I put on my wishlist compression sleeves for running and one of those strobe light things I can clip on my pants when I run in the dark. My hubby put kettlebells and a training rope on his wishlist so I'm hoping he gets those so I can use them too!

Here's a recipe from Maangchi's website. I haven't made the cabbage kimchi before but I've made the radish kimchi and it was pretty good. http://www.maangchi.com/recipe/tongbaechu-kimchi

Amazing loss! Congrats!

I've been here since May 2013, I lost 48 pounds in 2013 and 28 pounds so far in 2014. Hopefully, I can lose 2 by the end of the year to make it an even 30. Still have more to go but don't have a definitive goal on where I'm going to stop.
-
You definitely can see a difference! Congrats on your progress so far!

Congrats on your accomplishments!! I actually started at 273(May 2013) and am down to 197.5 right now. I just readjusted my goal too because I haven't decided on my goal weight either. My next goal is to get to 180 and then figure what's next after that. I'm actually running in my first half marathon in a couple of weeks…

You are right, it is all mental. My mind still tries to tell me to "only run 2 miles" even though I know I can run more. You just have to find the other side of your mind that wants to challenge you. There is always self-doubt, you just have to overcome it. I used to only be able to run for 30 seconds at a time but I still…

Wow! What an amazing transformation! Congrats on your success!

Fantastic results! I'll have to look into PiYo!!

I started with 15 minute walks May of last year. Now I exercise 4-5 times a week doing spin, strength training and running. The me over a year ago probably wouldn't ever imagine that she would be where she is now. It's a great feeling. But we all have to start somewhere. I followed the Couch25K program when I was a lot…
