  • CooCoo - if you're losing more than you wish, I think all three possibilities are good. Do what you feel is right. You can even vary from week to week, depending on your plans. A food event next weekend? Make room by fasting twice. No extra food planned? Fast once.
  • 3rd fast done.... well 2.5 anyway...Tuesday I landed at 750 ;-)
  • Woohoo Coocoo!!!
  • Ditto here...I plan for 500-550 and am often near 600. Atm I'm fasting 3x per week so my deficit is still high enough to lose.
  • Great thread! Thanks for sharing! My WHY? Scroll to the end... My History... Fat as a kid, fatter as an adolescent, obese as an adult...always active and didn't get teased much about my weight. But was never happy with my weight. Dieted a couple of times but was afraid of the yoyo. Then years ago I hit 97kg on January 1st.…
  • Been there Kate, believe me. Slowly coming back to my 'losing' state of mind. I just kept 'fasting' even if many fasts were far less than perfect. Doing alot better now. It's just such a mind game... Had a good fast day today and off to tai chi class...thus it should stay that way. Another good thing about Monday fasts....…
  • A busy day.... A horse back ride with a second one on the lead. Weather was much nicer than the weather man said. Yay. Batch cooking of my veggie chicken chilli and pumpkin soup...16 yummy fast meals ready to go. Set for a few weeks B) 50 min on my rebounder and it was quite the workout!…
  • As a fellow chocolate lover and coming from Switzerland...difficult not to love chocolate, he he... I would never bann it from my diet...don't think I could. I tend to buy the darkest chocolate available...85-90% Cacao. 10-20g of that with my afternoon espresso often is enough for me. If I grab any type of milk chocolate,…
  • Awe, thanks Mama! Though my days aren't perfect, I am doing much better than during the last year and that makes me feel good ;-) Had a great run today and a pretty good fast at around 650cals - 375cals from the run, so all is good. Good luck on your sugar free week!!
  • Exactly...and the wine tastes better in good company too :p A wee swim this morning, a tour through a brewery in the black forest (taste testing and lunch included...) and a horse back ride this afternoon. Will dive into my push ups and planks soon ;) And then get my fast food ready for tomorrow.
  • So glad you are both back!! Second fast at 630cals and my push ups will follow. Aiming for 3*10 push ups and 3*25s planks today. Third fast on thursday. Slowly seeing a downward trend with the 3 fast per week and too much social eating on the weekend :p So I'm happy :)
  • Seems my Challengees have left me :'( You're welcome to jump back in at any time ;) Fasted ended at 600cals + 3 sets of 10 push ups and 3x25s planks. Another fast planned for tomorrow.
  • That happens sometimes, mama. Glad you enjoyed your walk! Sanjo - that still counts in my book! A little over my cals today. but still close enough. Visited Arnita Champion for an awesome 40min rebounding session and did 3 sets of 8 push ups / 20s planks in the three minute break B) Shower and done for the day.... School…
  • No teeth smashing! Just do what you can and see how you improve. It's a challenge with yourself not with anyone else. No cardio today, but a 3rd fast and 3 sets of 8 push ups / 20s planks. Very happy with my week and will go for a run or jump on my rebounder tomorrow.
  • Yo Mama...I don't do girly push ups Those planks weren't easy for me...it's been a while. Thanks for the nudge!
  • Got 20min Rebounding / 3*7 push ups / 3*20s full plank in ;-) And a pretty good maintaince day. Fasting tomorrow for the 3rd time this week....plans including food and wine on Saturday, so I'm banking some cals for that. B)
  • There is a Group here - 5:2 Fasting where you will find quite a few of us. Some are longtermers like me (since May 2013), others come and go. I lost 28kg using 5:2 and I still use it to maintain. I also like the way a fast day helps get rid of any bloat due to overdueing it once in a while. Though 5:2 isn't for everyone, I…

  • Was thinking about those planks anyway, so I'm in. Not silly at all to go back to what was fun and worked. Might do that myself! Good tip!
  • Sounds like a cool event! Glad you enjoyed yourselves. Day 2 of my new start ;-) A little over on the second day of my B2B but that's OK. I jumped on my rebounder and did 3*6 push ups today. Thus I am on track. Let's keep it that way.
  • PS-anybody else having problems with syncing? The computer and the phone app haven't been syncing over the last few days :-(
  • I definitely don't mind, Kate! It's not 'my' thread...I just tend to start it, because I'm one of the oldies in this group and in an earlier time zone than most. Good job Flossy! Anyway, I've returned from vacation. The weather in England was great. Walked 200000 steps in about 11 days and only gained 2lb (most of which…
  • Join our group and you can ask anything ;-) Lots of longterm 5:2ers there (like me...3.5yrs in) http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/100058-5-2-fasting

  • Having and awesome time and have clocked up nearly 90000 steps since Sunday, including two beautiful hikes along the coast. Enjoy your week!
  • No rain in my England :D Had a wonderful day and another planned for tomorrow ;)
  • Had a good fast today too. After the over day I had yesterday with lots of grain carbs, I needed it. The SUP trip was adventurous...lots of wind and waves on the lake. Had to paddle on my knees in order to get anywhere on the way there. So my thighs ache a little today. Weather was warm enough though and the company was…
  • Fast days - I skip breakfast and eat a 100-150cal lunch. Today 250g green beans and a small egg in a broth. Dinner was 200g spiralized cucumber / 200g bell pepper / small onion stir fried with 100g of tuna (in water). For 'dessert' there was room for a high protein fat free greek yogurt with 2 fresh plums and a tsp chia…
  • Yup, sounds like you could be needing some salt or other minerals. Try a broth next time and definitely don't beat yourself up 800 cals is still a good deficit for the day!
  • Melissa - fasts vary alot. Go with the flow. Stick with it if you can, don't worry, if today doesn't happen. Kate - I don't know if you 'believe' in it, but things should start looking up as several planetary constellations have changed and our overall energy should come back and become more positive. I've felt on hold and…
  • My first glass of wine was at 15h this afternoon Mama B)
  • Glad to see you all coming back after the summer. Definitely not my time for losing either. Automn is so much easier! Ha ha Mama...off to help again on Friday. But we will be shifting from remodelling to moving mode...the old house is changing hands officially on the 23rd. Then I will officially have a sister with a house…
