Welcome back Flossy! I'm off to the bus station in a few. One week of hiking in Austria near Innsbruck. Never been there and don't know the people in the group, so it'll be fun. Hoping the weather will be better than the forecast, but the hotel has a wellness area and Innsbruck isn't far from it either, so alternative…

Good job Dryheat! I'm also finishing up my second fast for the week. Both went pretty well. Also went for a run on Tuesday and rode my some bike to work twice this week. So now I will go for an enjoyable but controlled weekend with some more exercise ;-)
-
@luv2chewbaca2 - on fast days the idea is to give your digestive system a bit of a rest to benefit from other health aspects, than 'just' the weightloss. Thus you don't eat the exercise cals back on a fast day. That being said....it is your own choice, if you eat them back on fast days. I usually don't. But sometimes I do,…

Just wanted to share 'my' waterfall...due to the rain in the last 2 months...it's been very wet in Switzerland...we have 920000 liter per second! And I get to see this awesomeness on my bike ride to work. Lucky or what!!

Great job, Kate! Congrats on the Thesis, Snaps! My fast days went bust this week and it's no ones fault but mine.... Oh well. Got some insight on were the self sabotaging of the last year has been coming from and what I need to do about it. Had a very interesting day at a family constellation seminar last saturday and then…

Hey Snaps! Way to go! We all start at a run walk run! Best way to go. You will make quick progress that way! Good luck on the house and the thesis too!!

Down 5 lbs is a win in my book! Hope your day is going better today! Believe me I've been doing this for 3 yrs, with ups and downs. The last year has been very difficult due to lots of stuff going on and a few emotional ups and downs. My weight reflects that, up 4-5kg from my stable low of 57-58kg. I kept getting…

No cheating with the measurements, Mama!! :p But 29' is awesome!! Gotta ask my friend, if she went to try out those shoes last week ;) I think, it's probably great fun unless of course I fall over laughing :p First fast this week...ended around 800 but also did 20k on my bike, so netted around 500. I know...not official,…

Logging kept me accountable and I was OK with sticking to maintainance during the first phase of recovery. As soon as I felt a little better, I went back to weightloss mode. I also walked quite a bit. Slowly at the beginning. Increased speed and distance as my body allowed me to (this also kept me away from food  ).…

Yup, those are the ones. This group goes running outside with them, but I've also seen aerobic classes using them. I really think, it would be fun. But then I'm always game for something new and a little crazy :p Hey congrats on reaching 13x!! That's a huge accomplishment! And yes, I also lose more shortly before TOM than…

Hey Flossy - a bit of you time with meditation is surely a great idea! And keep up the dancing. That will also help you stay positive! Had a good week with lots of walks. My first fast was good, my second was high but still a low day. Stitches are out and my vacation has been confirmed, so I shall keep walking in…

Good for you Flossy! I'm so enjoying the overlap of the asparagus and the strawberry season. Two things I only buy from my two local farmers. Theirs are the best and always fresh from that day. The two or three overlapping weeks are heavenly and very healthy. :) Have also been walking almost daily for an hour or more. The…

That's awesome @flossyruby! Go for it!

Pretty good fast day today. Copy pasting it to tomorrow as I will go riding in the morning and at the docs in the afternoon. Should make it easy enough to sneak in a B2B. Have a good day!
-
@flossyruby1 :* Of course it was!! Haven't been at my best in many ways. Next to being very busy in different parts of my life, some not so wonderful stuff has happened. Nothing tragic, but still got me down a bit. Haven't been able to let go of it all yet, but I'm working on it. My weight is up, my activity level down and…

I'm a lunch and dinner candidate. Usually 150 call for lunch and the rest for dinner. I keep my protein and veggies high and my grain / starchy carbs low on fast days.

The fourth of 4 days off all with perfect weather and lots of outdoor activities B) . Off for another bike tour and picnic with my new friend. This time in his area....more hills than mine :o Golf course was fun yesterday. First time ever. Might do a preliminary 4 day course soon. Fast day and biking to work tomorrow. But…

It's a holiday here. Had a great bike date. The route I chose got us both huffing and puffing on the last incline ;-) 34km and 2.5h with forests, river, lakes, old monestary and blossoming trees and crops along the way. He treated me to a very nice picnic at km 30...After the 30km and a bottle of wine, we were both glad…

Name of the book, @juliemoo1960 ? I've been really good at self sabotage lately....

3rd low day this week. All around 700. Don't seem to be able to cope with 500 atm. I'm a foodie, thus I'm lucky if I can maintain with two fasts a week. Flossy: do you really think the fasting is causing your high BP? Anything is possible , but it seems hard to believe. All of my values are better since fasting and losing…
-
Ended my b2b. Both days around 700. But other than that it was okay. Go for it Julie!

Had an OK fast day yesterday...not perfect, but OK. Going for a second one today. Meals are planned and cooked. I also steamed lots of veggies yesterday for my nfds and went for groceries and bought almost no nonos ;) Lots of desk work this week, which doesn't make fasting easier...but I can do this B)

Lifting weights, creams, losing slowly can help, but... and there's a big but.... it is a question of how much weight you lost, how wide your stretch marks were, how long you carried the extra weight, where you carry it, age and the quality of your skin (genetics) etc etc. After losing 35% of my body weight (life long…

Just returned from my days away. Went shopping with a friend in Freiburg...bought myself a cute little summer dress and shoes...so cool to be able to walk into stores and just try things on...and they fit :p Not good for my bank account but good for my soul ;) Also spent two days helping my sister and family with the…

I just bought a kilo of fresh green asparagus from the farmer next door...first ones of the season...always a treat and very low cal.

Off for a few days...will come and read all of your input on Sunday ;-)

To the Newbies ;-) Here is my weightloss chart in 2013-2014 on 5:2. You can see it is a 'bumpy' ride. Some people lose linearly, but I think most don't. As I gain 1-3lb of water over the weekend (mostly water retention) and lose this on my Monday fast. Over the course of a week my weight can fluctuate 4lb on maintainance.…
-
Kate: What Mama said. Sometimes the fat goes and water is retained. Just stick with it and you will probably get a whoosh effect when you least expect it. Lakemouse: It's your preference. I weigh everyday and compare Saturday to Saturday. Some only weigh once a week, once a month or not at all. Fluctuations on 5:2 are very…

Good Morning everyone! ! Off for my Sunday morning run in the sun....clouds...and hopefully no rain.. :p Enjoy your weekend!
