Avoid ready made meals and cook yourself. Your sodium will sink automatically.

YouTube will give everything you want. Google fitness blender, ab workouts or core workouts. Just find something you like. Atm, I'm doing Jillian Michael's 6 week 6 pack workout and some rebounder videos with integrated arm and core work.
-
Do you have a rebounder (mini trampoline)? Might be worth a look as a walker. The rebounder, an exercise mat, some light dumbbells and youtube.....You have a whole fitness center then B) Oh and the winter walking pants and winter jogging tights, got those too ;)

Awesome job! You really did turn your life around. Well done! You look like a totally different person!

Bet the flat bread was yummy! You could also make soda bread, it's yeast free and very easy. And I've been making my own protein bread (lots of eggs, seeds and almonds), but that is something not all people like (I do). It's yeast free and almost gluten free. Actually @snaps27, after my third go with Jillian's Abs workout…

Nothing wrong with reaching out for professional help. Many of us overate to coverup other issues. You have torn down the outside walls, now you notice the inside walls. Look for someone to help you through this. That will help you keep the weight off too. I did it the other way around. I worked on my inside problems and…

^^^This. Add a bit of potassium rich foods and lots of water the next few days and it will all come off in a jiffy.
-
Lulu - my work weeks vary alot. When working about 6h daily there is always room for a good workout. In other weeks my hours are much longer and I tend to have less energy and motivation. I rolled with the flow and the sun this week

SUPER!! Now the sales lady dropped a size too, because you kept her running back and forth with more clothes to try on :p

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with them. If I've indulged in lots of grain carbs or food in general I do look forward to them. I like the control, I have on fast days. I don't like the hunger, that I feel on some fast days. I do like being in the normal weight range and I got there with the help of 5:2. And now…

You disappoint me Orlcam! B)

If I eat pizza or pasta....1 kg more the next morning. ...Water retention. I still weigh daily, but I know why my weight is up. Lots of potassium loaded food and water the next day or a fast always flush it out. Knowing the antidote helps ;)

For comparison's sake....Yesterday I walked 8.3k / incline 165m in 90min, speed 5.5kph (= about 3mph) and burned 270cals. Today I ran the same route in 60min (8.5kph) and burned 450cal. My burns are generally alot lower than all the apps - I'm short, fit,in a healthy weight range and my heart rate is naturally lower than…

Today's NSV :) Had a fast run (1hr / 8.3k / 165m incline up and down). Even after running the downhill part, I had no knee or hip pain. This has been setting in after about 6k during the last few months. The run is one of my longest and fastest in a long while. I have the Jillian Michael's 6 Week 6 Pack video to thank for…

You can combine them. I tried for a while, but I like eating breakfast. ..Ok I like lunch and dinner too...so I do 16:8 on fast days and some times when I need some extra cals in the evening, but not regularly.
-
I just love your line of thinking! During the week my breakfast is often a mix of oats, chia seeds, fruit or berries and a high protein yogurt or quark type milk product. I soak the oats and seeds overnight, and mix with the rest in the morning. Or HP -LC bread with ricotta cheese and honey or jam On the weekends. ..If im…

Feel free to start one chiccam! It is due to people on mfp and a fb fitness group I'm in, that I keep trying new kinds of workouts. Keeps working out fun and challenges my body in new ways.
-
Chiccam - The sun broke through the fog today. First time in a while....8k walk for me in 90min on my fast day. Makes about 10000steps for me. Greetings from grandma ;)
-
If you can, spread them out a little more. For example Mo / Th or Tu / Fr to see if the binging gets better.
-
How many non fast days do you have inbetween two fasts? It helps me to have at least two.
-
Smart woman, your grandma. Now go use 'em ;)
-
I'm in too tomorrow, jknight001. Might be up a little earlier than you...it's almost 11pm now, so off to bed.
-
JA - with two fast days, you achieve a deficit of 20-25% over a weeks time. Thus you can eat your TDEE. Do as Foamroller says. Start lower, if you feel full or the numbers scare you. That may be because of the daily restriction you have done before starting 5:2. I think, that messes with our heads sometimes. After a while…

Back to the original theme of this thread. ...I bought a mini trampoline on ebay for little money last fall. ...After a 30min workout I have other places to go! Seriously. More than once I've had to take a short break while jumping. Might be worth a try and it's totally natural. Side effect. ...jumping makes you smile :D

@JJA14 - I completely understand you. I love the ideas, I get from all of the knowledge here and just use what I find right for me. Though I'm a chemical engineer, I'm not much into supplements, powders, pills, processed foods, low fat this, low carb that and try to get what I need with real, fresh foods and home cooked…

One meal doesn't work well for me either. I do a split 150-200 lunch and 300-350 for dinner. Maybe a small meal in the afternoon would help you, without cutting your dinner cals too much.
-
that they need to eat this percentage lower Saw a documentary a while back, that showed these tendencies. They aren't sure if it's genetic or due to a changed metabolism. The jury is still out, but if you start gaining, when eating maintainance, just keep it in mind. I lost really well with TDEE (lightly active) + exercise…
-
Excellent! JJA - do you run? I have read articles, that running can be effective against depression. I know getting up and starting anything in a low mood is very difficult. But if you get into the habit during a good Phase, maybe you can use it more easily, when you feel a low coming on.
-
That's awesome Karen! I know that feeling, when I go shopping and stick to my list...doesn't always happen. I'm not quite recovered from my chocolic career. One of my 'problems' is, I live in Switzerland....the land of great chocolate :p I do ok if I stick to dark chocolate...milk chocolate disappears....

@orlcam - That is one awesome tool!! Love the way you can integrate exercise and fast days! The numbers are close to what I have from other sites, but I've never had such a complete calculator :D . However it is true, that many overweight people or people that have lost their surplus weight, have a TDEE 10-20% below…
