BEAUTIFUL arms!! I love a girl with nice arms. I'd like to look like that one day =)

I've accepted the fact that i can't =) But what you can do is compromise. Treat yourself to a burger, but get fruit as a side. Those fries are practically as worse as the burger! I haven't had a juicy burger in about three months. I keep saying I'm going to treat myself one day soon, but I never do! Man I want one...

If the weather is bad, or I just plain don't feel like it, instead of a run outside I'll hop on the elliptical and read a really suspenseful book. It always makes me push myself harder, because I'm so into the book the pain kind of takes the backseat and before I know it I'm drenched in sweat and I've burned 500 calories!

Is this really true though? I know there are different types of sugars, but does your body store fruit sugar any differently than say, the sugar from a candy bar? Because that would be significant to me, if the body stores either type of sugar the same way. But I have no idea. I've always thought "all things in moderation"…

I'm over my sugar every day. Mostly from milk and fruits, but also because I have treats here and there. I like to see how much sugar I consume everyday though so I can think of new ways to reduce it where I can. For instance I've replaced yogurt with cottage cheese as a daily food (low in sugar, higher in sodium so it's…

I don't get grossed out by insects. But then again I am a Biology major =)

God I have to try this!

I tried it a couple years ago and I was just hungry ALL the time. The taste was pretty decent but I didn't lose any weight on it and I was just miserable and starving. I think it's better to eat real food! I went from 155 to 130 simply by eating real food and lots of it. Edit: I also want to add that I took on the Slim…

You get what you put into it! The moves are VERY hard. I've been doing the videos for months and I still can't do absolutely everything. But I do the best I can, modify when I need to, and I love what it's done to my body. I think as long as you aren't in terrible shape, you can start it anytime. Just don't expect it to be…

Maybe calf raises? Hold small weights while you do them for more of a work out.
-
Just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I don't have diabetes, for instance, but that doesn't mean diabetes isn't real. I think it's important for everyone to carefully find their balance and learn where the line exists so they don't cross it. You found what works for you, which is all this…

Those certainly aren't minimal results! I love the program as well. I'm thinking about getting the Tony one-on-one videos. Or maybe Insanity.
-
My results have been exactly what I was looking for, but obviously it isn't going to work for everybody. I enjoy the pace of the videos and they give my workouts structure. I've also seen a ton of people's photos on this site alone who got great results from the program. It's a good place to start if you want to build some…

It wasn't THAT expensive. Furthermore, I was very intimidated by weights and the gym for YEARS and P90X introduced me to free weights and really started me off. It was just the introduction I needed and it's been extremely insightful and helpful for me. I'm not the only one who thinks this. There are thousands of us. I've…

It's a work out that can benefit and challenge even a person who's already in pretty good shape. It's a lot of FUN!!

Cottage cheese, milk, cheerios, oatmeal, baby carrots, fruit, bagged salad, deli meat for sandwhiches, wheat bread. I also sit down on Sundays and plan all my meals out and add to the list as needed.

I'll have to agree this message came off as pretty snooty. But regardless, I'd ignore the note. I'd probably be pretty amused if I recieved a note like that to tell the truth. Especially if the note is nonthreatening. I would NOT give it to his wife. You never know the mental stability of people and that might be what…

Cereal is my guilty pleasure!! I don't want to deny myself of my late night cereal, so I don't. I just make sure I have the calories for it and it works fine for me.

I found I'm more honest in my diary when I know nobody can read it... I know it's really dumb and it's good to keep an open diary so you can get constructive criticism, but I found I wasn't being honest . I closed my diary and now I really put everything down even if I do over or eat way too much sugar. It's good just to…

I hate shopping! And I always feel guilty doing it. GOOD fitness clothes are definitely worth the money. But I gave up on tops a long time ago because my ratty army tan t-shirts are actually perfect for me. I happen to have a million of them too. I say you should have a couple good pair of pants/shorts that are going to…

I bought the Mango Peach flavor and I like it a lot better than Crystal Light. People will always debate over whether artificial sweeteners are bad for us or not. So as long as those don't bother you, sure it's water! And at least you get to control the amount so you could even wean yourself off to using a very minuscule…

I think for me it actually takes longer to get to that feeling as time goes by. But I always get it and I've been running for around 7 years. For a 40 minute run for me, it will probably hit around mile 1 and once I get past that I'm golden.
-
Well I think the whole point is you know what you're eating and you're in control! You are exploring your body to see what works for you and I think that's the way to go.

I would LOVE if my significant other was that motivated! Mostly because it would motivate me to get a workout in, too. We went for runs together all last summer and it such an awesome bonding experience for us. Plus I push myself harder when I'm running with him. I told him now that the weather is warmer we have to run…

This is beautiful!!

This sounds JUST like my ex husband. I married him at 21 (way too young holy cow). I thought I couldn't live without him. I also thought I could change him and just ended up losing 6 years of my life I'll never get back. Six years is a LONG mistake! He truly wanted to sit, get high, and play video games all day and just…

I have been "working through the pain" myself, but I'm beginning to see it more and more as detrimental to the overall cause. What I want is to push myself to the point I'm making progress each time I work out. To do otherwise is kind of a waste of time, to me. But if I'm so sore that I'm not able to give it my all (which…

Not eating your exercise calories is the same thing as crash dieting in my opinion. You're going to wear yourself out and eventually give up. This site is supposed to be the real deal, not some crash diet, right?

This. Supposedly a little dark chocolate is good for you... and it's easier to eat slowly and savor.
-
I agree, but I can't do it! I actually don't eat MOST of that stuff as a general rule. But I do have a bowl of sugary cereal for dessert most nights and I looooooooove white rice. Oh and diet soda is here to stay! I guess I'll keep a tiny bit of fat around with me if it means I can enjoy a couple things once inawhile =)
