From the looks of the flab you have, you need to stay out of the kitchen and hit the gym a little more. ;)

Who spent $40? Check your local Sam's, I paid half that. ;) Gimmick? My pic shows it's no gimmick. Of course a supplement won't work if you're still gobbling down large amounts of fatty processed foods. I did say in conjunction with proper diet and exercise. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/mike8.htm

If you've ever heard "Abs are made in the kitchen' it's true. Cut down on carbs, eat more veggies, fruits, proteins, lower your fat intake, and eat healthy fats in moderation. Also, you can try taking GNC's Total Lean CLA, it helps, in conjunction with healthy eating and exercise, to target belly fat.

I use a HRM to see what my calorie burn is during lifting and strength training. I check in on it after every rep/set. No, no problems with acne since I've been lifting. However, when I take a break from taking Creatine, I have noticed I tend to break out a bit, nothing major though. Since I'm currently in my cutting time,…

You're on the right track. Be patient. Remember, you didn't gain the weight quickly, and the loss won't be a quick fix. Also, try weight lifting and strength training. Good luck on you new lifestyle. Embrace the change! :)

My diary is open to my MFP friends only. Feel free to add me. I keep an accurate diary and I eat healthy, and I hope that inspires others to do the same. :)

It is perfectly fine to do strength training for even longer than that if your body can handle it. I am usually working with weights and strength training 4 days a week from an hour to an hour and a half each time. If you feel you still have fat you want to burn off, then do keep in cardio at least 3 days a week. Some…

Accepted! Also, I have done Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs, it is a great program that includes a diet plan to aid you. I did that over the summer and it was a good workout and fun. I was able to get it from beachbody.com for $19.99 plus shipping (total was about $30 for me).

You are on the right track. As someone already pointed out, abs are indeed made in the kitchen. Try not to eat more than 2 slices of bread (preferably whole wheat) per day and watch your sugar intake. Drink plenty of water and do ab work about 3 to 4 times a week. Also, you can try taking a CLA supplement to aid your goal.…

LMAOOO! I am the #Selfie and the #Mirror chick. heh heh. They coincide because I'll walk by the mirror and notice my gains and think : Dat *kitten* is gettin' right! And, look at those quads, triceps, etc. lol. But only after I've finished my workout!

No it is not, especially if you're new to running! You can be working at your optimum THR at that 12 minute mile. You will know when you are ready to pick up the pace. I started running 10 years ago and I started out slowly, I would run 1 lap around the track fast, then briskly walk the other 3. Over a month's time I'd…

One? I've got 4! :) Plan on getting another one soon! :)

Let me expound on my brief statement: When you lift lighter weights and more reps it does a better job of increasing the muscular endurance, lighter weights will not help you "tone" better than heavy weights. Heavier weights build the strength of your muscles and the size to a small degree, helping to increase your…

Well said! There are so many people on these threads that seem to look for a reason to insult someone they disagree with. You can disagree with someone but there is no need to make negative and rude comments. It's rampant on here. I think it is much more productive to share your own advice and knowledge without being…

Here's a good article to read: http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/weight-lifting-tips

Heavy weights since I want to add more muscle. You do lighter weights with more reps to keep a lean look.

Here is the information you can use to find a couple of journals for your reading pleasure: De Vogli R, Kouvonen A, Gimeno D. 'Globesization': ecological evidence on the relationship between fast food outlets and obesity among 26 advanced economies. Critical Public Health [serial online]. December 2011;21(4):395-402.…

DO YOU = Do whatever makes you happy.

LOL. Just because you don't agree does not mean my statement is idiotic. I could post links to reports and studies showing how bad fast food is for you. I could mention a couple of countries that REFUSE to eat McDonalds or other fast foods because the people know it isn't healthy for you in the long run, but I won't waste…

I didn't 'dictate' it was merely a suggestion/advice. You can agree or disagree. DO YOU! :)

You don't have to agree. DO YOU! :)

Hey, DO YOU! :)

I don't go to 'chain' restaurants either. ie: TGIF, Applebee's, etc. When I do go to a restaurant it'll be for Sushi at a place that uses top quality products, usually organic, or one of Bobby Flay's establishments (pricey but delicious), he uses top quality products. but usually I cook at home using organic ingredients.

PREACH! :) The highest of fives to you! :) I am the only women in the free weights section too! What I love most is when a dude comes in and sees that I'm lifting heavier than he is, he ups his weights. heh heh. BRING IT BRO! I've also inspired a couple of other ladies to stop doing so much cardio and come to the weight…

Damn right I do! ;)

Fast Food places are gross. I stay far, far away from them. Eeeww.. But if you're someone that loves them, then by all means, DO YOU! ;)

When I smell a subway it make me nauseous. Subway=Fast food and if you're trying to live a healthier lifestyle, you should avoid it.

I use the free(for full time students) fitness center at my college. It has all the equipment needed, a swimming pool for laps, and a sauna. Did I mention it's free? ;) I also have equipment at home, treadmill, various weights, ball, pull up bar, etc.
