:| I like to nosh on some ice cubes topped with a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.

BOO-tea? Is it meant to scare the pounds off you, or does it just keep you in the bathroom for a few days?

I don't know if I understand British humor, but "Keeping Up Appearances" is my jam.
-
The extent to which you DID NOT blow it is laughable.

I only log exercise that isn't step-based: exercise bike, pilates, yoga, etc.

Cooking with milk (even replacing part of the water for milk) and a little salt helps more than you'd think.

Small pan? Thin foods? Or perhaps it's more of a shallow fry that still requires four tablespoons of oil. Foor tablespoons would probably make a relatively thin layer over the bottom of a 12-inch pan. At any rate, there are certainly instances that would necessitate using around that much oil. I don't get why people are…

I assume OP is talking about deep frying. How are you guys deep frying stuff in a teaspoon of oil?

Well, if I come home to three days worth of healthy food prepped for me I'll be sure to get ticked off about it rather than appreciate the fact that my boyfriend thought about my goals and saved me some time.

She said she wanted to do more meal prep, so he went ahead and prepped some meals for her. I imagine if she said she wanted to vacuum and OP went ahead and did that for her no one would be complaining.

How long have you been exercising? Your body gets more efficient at sweating as you get more fit.

All you can really do is offer your support. Let her know you are there to help when she's ready to make a change. I don't see a problem with asking her to go for walks, though. Walking as a couple is pretty nice in my opinion; it's a good time to chat.

You're either underestimating what you're eating or you need to get a pregnancy test.

Hmmm... if I'm really working hard the monitor says my heart rate gets up to about 170. Could it be a difference in placement?

Try jogging a few miles to get the tea. Or putting the tea in an 8-pound cup.

Just take it off before the deed.

Your waist definitely looks smaller in January.

It helps to limit yourself to a couple drinks. Fewer calories, and you won't get as drunk and want to binge on something crappy.

I've been using a FitBit off and on for almost two years and I actually think it's fairly accurate. If I stay within the calories it gives me I lose weight.
-
That honestly doesn't seem like too much exercise, but how many calories are you eating? Do you weigh your food? Do you feel fatigued?
-
How often do you go to the doctor and how often do you plan to weigh in? It doesn't really matter which you use, honestly, as long as you are consistent.

I give my vote to pickles.

80/20 is just a basic rule of thumb that works for the average person. Sure, you could, in theory, lose weight from exercise alone, but most people won't. Assuming a person was eating at maintenance (which is probably not the case if that ends up needing to lose weight), he or she could lose weight by eating exactly the…

Weighing takes as much, maybe less, time than using measuring cups and spoons. o_O

No calories unless you're indulging in edibles...

I would probably alternate between HIIT and strength training.

I ordered mine yesterday to replace my Force. I'm curious to see how well the heart rate monitoring works. Without the HR I found the calorie estimates to be accurate in the sense that if I ate the recommended calories I would lose weight.

I think it's a decent measuring tool. Most people aren't muscular enough to throw it off significantly. Right now my BMI is about 27 and, yes, I'm pudgy. My lowest as an adult was around 20, and that's probably about as low as I could ever go (I don't think I could achieve it now without starving myself).

Don't forget the Pepto Bismol.

Yes, even a very small serving.
