100 pounds and multiple years into my fitness journey later, I’ve been accepted into Navy OCS!

Facing it is the first step. Once your head is on board the rest will follow. Have a plan and stick to it. One mistake will not end the world unless you let it.

800 days of logging and more than 100 lbs lost. Definitely pleased with myself today.

I wore a normal over the head sports bra today for my run and was perfectly comfortable!! Don’t get me wrong my enell sports bra is great but it’s so nice to be able to wear cheaper/ easier to find options

I ran on a treadmill for 20 minutes doing on of the pre programmed location runs after the first five minutes the incline never went below 5 and went up to 9% multiple times. I ran the whole time and at a faster pace than I could manage a two minute 0 incline run when I first started this journey.

I finally found an upside to being constantly freezing! (296 to 179 for the doubter lol) I have way better heat tolerance. It was 94 degrees here yesterday and everyone was complaining and I was perfectly comfortable and even went for a run. I used to hide inside the second it hit 80. It’s kind of a nice change to actually…

I went to Ross to find some tops today and came back with size smalls?!?!? Like WTF?!?! I’m so excited but wow vanity sizing I’m 5’8 and still overweight and probably going to lose another 30-40lbs but what’s gonna fit me at that point if I’m already in smalls? Another clothing victory: I’ve been living in yoga pants and…

2 related NSVs: I got on the treadmill at the gym today to warm up before strength training I set my light/jog pace and realized that when I started running that was my all out sprint pace. Second, I accidentally got sidetracked by my podcast and ran for 30 minutes instead of 5 and didn’t really feel it at all. Moments…

I’m here to represent the millenials... Avocado toast

I had to get fingerprinted for a background check and they ask for hair/eye color, height/weight etc. I was so freaking proud to put my actual weight. It didn't even occur to me to lie. Such a good feeling :)

Lol for me it’s actually one of the worst. I can see it in progress pics but just looking in the mirror I look the same to me (at 100 lbs down so progress has definitely been made). Clothing fit however is really helpful for me ;)

Ditto what everyone said, I just pay closer attention to my body and if I need to stop (sometimes I get kind of dizzy) I stop and take a break. That said, I actually make sure to do Abs EVERY day during my period. It's hard to force myself at first but man does it help with cramping and bloating for me.

I know all of these have been mentioned before but they hit me again this week. Which is it's own thing I guess. No one tells you that you can be told a bajillion times by other people that a thing happened when they lost weight (i.e. they're cold all the time) and still be completely surprised when all of a sudden you too…

I get rid of them the second they're too big or if I have a smaller size of the same item that fits. So for example I get rid of the 14 jeans as soon as the 12s fit. I find this helps keep me on track as I can't afford to rebuy clothes if I get bigger. Fortunately I don't need to wear anything in particular right now so I…

Lol I'm excited that I've reached the part of my weight loss journey where I can steal clothing from my mother or my sister. It's definitely nice going into the holiday season since I can't really bare to spend money on clothing that I'll probably wear only once. And luckily I can live in leggings and sweaters the rest of…

Lol. Hilariously I'm on the other end. I'm 5'8" with 5.7" wrists so I'm definitely small framed. I've been so focused on just getting to a healthy bmi for my height (160lbs) that when I realized I was small framed and might actually want to aim for 20-30lbs lighter I nearly cried. So for now I'm pretending I never found…

I actually like the HAES movement* at least as I understand it and it doesn't seem incompatible with weight loss. For a lot of people when they try to lose weight they get hung up on the number and with all the crap constantly surrounding us about how to lose weight. Drink only cabbage soup, eat ALL the kale, no carbs, no…

Lol. Yea that was me but I’ve definitely hit the I’m freezing all the time phase. My mom is wandering around today in a short sleeve shirt and is fine I’m in long sleeves and a heavy sweater and still cold. I try keep reminding myself that summer is much less uncomfortable now but cold me doesn’t care :P

To be under 200 lbs by my sister’s wedding Jan 6th 11lbs to go so it’s a lofty goal especially over the holiday but I find having an ambitious goal helps me stay on track even if I don’t make it.

I do but casually, so i guesstimate portions and pick something close from the database just for consistency and having a vague idea of what I ate but I don't really worry about it. Of course, this year I'm going to be on an plane to Italy so tracking should be easier lol.

I can wear medium shirts. This is just so bizarre. (Also says a lot about vanity sizing lol). I'm also feeling pretty grateful for my figure. Despite still being several (30ish) pounds heavier than my mother and sister I can wear the same clothes and some even look better on me. It's a little petty but it makes me so happy…

Pockets go away :( I know women's clothes are notorious for having tiny pockets but when I was in plus sizes I didn't really notice/ thought it was a little exaggerated. Sure they could be bigger but I could fit my hands in them and I've never really been one to keep things in my pocket; that's what purses are for. Now…

I’ll join! Team b please :)
