  • Mine is now regular for the first time in my life. I have always had problems with my cycle, skipping months or multiple times in a single month. Since surgery is been like clockwork!
  • 4 months here as well, but my diary is open. Feel free to add me.
  • Thanks! Looks like I'm not the only one having this issue.

  • I think everyone is extremely different. I have never thrown up, and just feel slightly uncomfortable when I over eat. I also eat more when I start eating when I'm not hungry yet. My suggestion? Don't let anyone else tell you what you should or have to do, because your plan/stomach is different than theirs. Trust YOUR body…
  • I am not a fan of unjury; it doesn't dissolve enough no matter what I do to it. My go to's 3 1/2 months out are still premier protein and isopure juice. During my preop phase, though, I was required to drink bariatric advantage only, 3-4 times a day. It was like having nothing but dessert for a week.
  • I am 3 1/2 months post op and I rarely eat breakfast. I have found that on the days I do eat when I'm not hungry, I get more hungry later in the day. I focus on fluids and drinking some sort of protein first thing in the morning, and the protein will typically stave off any hunger until lunch time.
  • I just switched from iPhone to galaxy note 4, and I finally have the community link. On the iPhone app there was no community. I hated always having to get on my comp to access the boards. If you have an android, maybe try updating your app.
  • I love ice cream, and like Thaeda, I allow anything in moderation. I don't want to be skinny if I'm going to be completely miserable the rest of my life. This has to be a change that I can live with long term. That means allowing myself the things I like every now and then. If you want ice cream, have ice cream. Just work…
  • I am 12 weeks post op, and much like klcovington, I felt hunger pretty soon after surgery. I can distinguish between real hunger and head hunger, and I would say real hunger hit within a few weeks of starting soft foods. The difference since surgery is that a tiny snack will fill me up. There are days where I have no…
  • I'm 9 weeks out and my incisions STILL itch sometimes. I've gotten used to it at this point and tend to scratch unconsciously, but I'm beginning to wonder if they always will!

  • I have been very open with people about my surgery, both before and after. It is no one's business but your own how you choose to lose weight. If it is the right choice for you, then that is what matters. I have found that I actually receive more positive feedback from people I am confident in sharing with, than those whom…
  • Did some closet shopping today... my smallest pants are already getting a little big!
  • I stalled at 5 1/2 weeks for 10 days; even gained a few lbs. I panicked, but on day 11 it just fell off. I lost 16 lbs in 2 weeks afterward! Hang in there, it will start again.
  • I had serious buyer's remorse for about the first 4 days, then by day 5, I felt great. Each day will get better, and you'll be happy you did it. Hang in there!
  • I am 8 weeks post op, and the only I CAN'T tolerate is beef. Honestly, though, I don't miss it. I was sad at first because I love beef, but now I have no desire to eat it. There are so many other meats that I enjoy (that I HATED before), that I'm completely satisfied. Try not to worry about what you won't be able to eat…
  • I'm 8 weeks post op and still rely heavily on Isopure Zero. I have to water it down, usually 1:1 ratio, because they are too potent otherwise, but they are a great way to meet your fluid and protein goals. Also, its a nice change from shakes and broth.
  • I also have the titanium staples and they stay forever.
  • I've lost an elephant's heart and a rack of baby back ribs! Hmm... I'm suddenly hungry!
  • My first short term goal has been to get down to what I was when I started dating my husband. I am now 4 lbs from that goal, and the clothes I wore then are big. That means, despite what the scale says, I am actually smaller now than I was when we started dating!!
  • My surgeon said 2 weeks, and that's when I did. Other than needing to be a little gentle, it was fine.
  • ALL. THE. TIME. I usually freeze my husband out at night with cranked A/C and fans. Last night, while he was sleeping without the blanket, I had to get up and get a second one because I thought I was getting frost bite!
  • My husband made dark chocolate brownies and saved the center piece for me. It has been sitting in the foil ever since. I have no desire to eat it!!
  • I love isopure! My favorite flavors are Icy Orange, Pineapple Orange Banana, and Alpine Punch. The key is to water it down, otherwise it is way too potent. I usually do half and half, so a bottle will last me 2 days. I am 6 weeks post op and I still drink it every day, either for breakfast or before bed. I got burnt out on…
  • I just started c25k last week. I started once before but was so much heavier then, I just quit. Now that I'm down some, I find it so much easier. Each time I go out, I can push a little further. I am very competitive with myself, so when I know what I was able to do last time, it makes me want to try harder the next.
  • I drink with a straw all the time, no issues. I am 6 weeks post op.
  • Welcome!
  • Welcome! I am 5 weeks post op as well.
  • I have read that the surgery can jack up your cycle for awhile because it screws with your hormone levels. It should level out after awhile, but when in doubt, call your doc.
  • I'm so jealous! Just 6 more days... just 6 more days.... lol Congrats!
  • Are you allowed to have cream soups? I started cream soups after the first week and I never thought I could enjoy some tomato soup so much! It has really helped me with the cravings I was experiencing during the clear liquid portion.
