I went vegan for a month earlier in the year. Absolutely no animal products whatsoever. Honestly, it wasn't that hard. I wasn't a huge meat eater to begin with. Giving up yogurt was probably the hardest (and soy and coconut milk yogurts taste awful). I did it just to see if I could do it, and to see if I really did feel…

It's really overpriced. If you have the money to spare it's not bad (though it does have a fair bit of sugar as far as weight loss goes), but personally I don't see the point of spending a ridiculous amount on that when you can just buy some protein powder. I use protein powder, some milk, and some frozen fruit as one or…

Ahahaha. I can SO relate to the being made fun of for being pale and white like most Irish kids. I love being Irish though. <3 Great post, by the way!

Swimming is excellent exercise. Honestly, I used to swim a lot and I was in much better shape. Where I live now, it's usually too cold to swim outside and I don't like having to pay to swim at the gym. Swimming and dancing are the exercise I like the most. Three pounds per week is a lot. I tend to be much happier when I…

I urge you to experiment with different brands, or make your own. I don't particularly care for Silk almond milk, but I like other brands. When it comes to alternative milks, brand is super important and everyone has a different preference. Making your own is easy and tastes better, and it's much better for putting in…

 You look amazing to me. If you don't want that body, I'll take it.

Really pretty, but wrong team...so no.

Actually...I'd say Meg for you too! If you had darker hair..

Depends on the day you ask me. I love my husband. I love having a partner to go through life with. At the same time, I really like alone time. I don't like having someone there ALL THE TIME. I like to be able to do my own thing, when I want to do it.

Honestly, I live in a northern remote location and don't think I could spend that little on food. We spend about $100-150 a week, and that's buying pretty cheaply. The only thing we splurge on is produce. Even then, the selection is pretty limited here so it's like...spinach, tomatoes, bananas, stuff like that. Frozen…

Whierd, just like every other girl on this website. Also suv_hater.

I'm a straight female, so no.

I am all for dessert. I work it into my diet in a healthy way. However, I'm the same way. I have a major sweet tooth and can't help myself at buffets. What do I do? I stay away from the end of the table. If I notice that something looks particularly good, I'll have just that.

I don't think they look trashy at all. I'm planning on getting one on my wrist at some point. As others have said, do it for you. If you like it then who cares what anyone else thinks? You're the one that has to live with it on your body for the rest of your life. As far as what people at work think, I guess it is wise to…

Have you tried therapy? Honestly, I think therapy tends to be overrated in that it isn't some miracle as some people make it out to be, but it does help if you're willing to listen to what is said in the sessions. Trust me, I know where you're coming from. I have suffered from depression for most of my life and have a…

Even though they do show on your homepage under "recent forum topics", nobody is forcing you to click that link. If you don't want to participate, don't. I don't participate in every single one, but sometimes I'm bored and I find them fun. As far as them being harmful, I have never seen anyone be negative toward someone…

Awesome! Congratulations--that's amazing!

You might be my food soul mate.

FTW! :drinker:

False. I've never been pregnant.

Speaking as someone that lived on processed foods for most of her life, I'm not about to judge you there. I will say since starting to eat healthier I feel way better and I think it has made a difference in my weight loss. A calorie is not a calorie. You're right in that it is "a calorie is a calorie" for calories in vs…

It wasn't today, but on Thursday I went out for dinner with my husband. I was the skinniest girl in the restaurant. That's never happened to me before!

150g of protein?! *looks at food diary* I'm at 53g of protein, 18g of fiber, and 243g of carbs. Clearly, you can tell where my foodie heart lies. Haha. I am working on upping my protein and lowering my carbs, though. Just can't seem to up protein without protein shakes. I'm not a big meat eater (or a big nuts, seeds,…

It's not weird at all. The reason it's taken me this long to ask is because I was too afraid to mess with the settings. However, I've been consistently losing at least .5lb per week even with consistently going over my calories, so I figure it's probably safe to up them a bit. I'm not losing as fast as I'd like this way,…

Great post! I've been at this for just over a month now, and there's been a few days where I've gone over by 1,000 calories (hell, there was one day I went over by 2,000). I've still lost weight every single week. Sometimes it's only .4 of a lb, but it's still a loss!

I love them. I don't eat them all the time, but I do eat them when I'm on the go all day and don't have time for a proper meal. I think as far as pre-packaged convenience food goes, they're quite healthy. I will also eat a Larabar once in awhile, but I prefer the Clif bars. I hate Luna bars. Also: I live in Canada and have…

My daily AM Tim Hortons coffee. 320 calories for an XL double double? I almost fell over. I allowed myself to have it for one more day after I started logging. One more day and I really savored it. Then I switched to a lower calorie option. Also avocados and bananas, peanut butter, restaurant salads and muffins. Mind you I…

I use 3s as that is what she uses in the video, and I've also never done any sort of weight lifting before. For biceps it's pretty easy (but I can definitely feel it), for shoulder raises I probably couldn't do any heavier. When I go through it again I'll increase to heavier weights.

The 600 calorie muffins that you speak of are HUGE. As in, I'm a girl that loves to eat and I can *barely* finish one. Most of the time, I can't finish them. We often have them in the house because my husband likes to eat them for breakfast on weekday mornings. He's a big guy. 6'5" and 280lbs (more muscle than fat). I'm…
