Best DVDs for working out at home?
What are some of your favorite DVDs for working out at home? I don't go to the gym much because I live 45 minutes away from the closest one, though I'll swing by once in awhile to go for a swim. I have a treadmill at home that I use regularly, but I've had a hard time finding DVDs I like. I have a few yoga DVDs, but I…

Cocoa dusted almonds
I came across this recipe earlier tonight and whipped up a batch. It's quite high in calories because of the almonds, but it's still pretty healthy. If you're anything like me, you get chocolate cravings a lot. These are delicious, and a much better option for satisfying a chocolate craving than a fudge brownie! (Though…

Do most of you change your food settings on here?
I've been on here for just over a month now, and I'm beginning to think the suggestions MFP gave me are too low. I've calculated my BMR to be around 1700 and my TDEE to be around 2300. MFP tells me I should only be consuming 1450 calories. There are days where I can eat that little and be fine, but I'm consistently going…

Nutrition facts for Superstore deli pizzas?
We're having one of those Superstore pizzas for dinner tonight. The ones you buy in the deli section, that are labeled something like "Go Fresh Daily Pizza". They're around $5.50 or $6.00. They don't have a nutrition facts label on them and I can't seem to find it by googling. Just curious if anyone knows where I could…

Canadians that have a food scale?
Where did you get it? I never paid much attention to serving size before, but that is how I got here in the first place! I'm going crazy trying to convert the measurements to log them. I think a $30 food scale would be worth the money. Just looking for recommendations on one and where you bought yours. Thanks!

Can someone please explain BMR and macros to me?
I am sure this has been asked before, but I wasn't able to find it. If there's a link someone can post, then you guys don't have to explain again. :) I know that BMR is basal metabolic rate. I know my calculated BMR is about 1700 calories. If I'm not supposed to eat less than this, why does MFP tell me to aim for about…

New here!
I've never really done this before, this whole join-an-online-community and keep a food diary thing. I've never really been fat. Even now, I guess I don't *look* that big, but I am still unhealthy. I'm 5'8, weigh 207lbs, and wear a size 14. That's unacceptable to me. I want to get healthy while I am still young so…
