  • I'm not sure age makes a big difference when you are younger, however if you do commit to a long lasting relationship, and there is a large age gap, I think there are issues. I met my dh when I had just turned 30, he in his late-40's. A 17 year difference between the two of us. Now, almost 16 fantastic years later, no…
  • ^^this. I love mine, but I honestly knew nothing and I seriously lucked out. No nonsense, I'm expected to be warmed up when I arrive to him, and we work hard for an hour.
  • I think I might have a girlie playlist, but it keeps me moving and lasts 2.3 hours: Red Hands Walk Off the Earth R.E.V.O. Pop Come & Get It Selena Gomez I Love It (feat. Charli XCX) Icona Pop Shut Up and Drive Rihanna The Other Side Jason Derulo Breathing Underwater Metric Synthetica Good Feeling Flo Rida What I Wouldn't…
  • this is brilliant - I always put mushrooms on my pizza, never thought of reversing!
  • you are at Palgrave? do you ride? We are up there for horse shows regularly
  • fwiw, I use my 5 min warmup walk to get the heck out of my neighborhood... and then I start the jog.. go for 40-50 minutes, in series, and then use my cool down to come back into my neighborhood.. I actually drove it beforehand weeks ago, to make sure I had the miles/route mapped out correctly. I'm in a small town, so it…
  • mmmm must note this one.
  • It's like giving birth... during, nothing but pain and regret... and then a huge release of endorphins and you forget all about the agony
  • The ones I'm wearing are Nike, were supposedly fitted, and cost me $120.... I've been in the gym for the last 10 weeks and haven't really noticed the damage factor, until today when I reached out for that extra 10 minutes on the treadmill.
  • my trainer says 20 minutes as well, please, that he would like to see, of consistent cardio. It's 38c here too in Ontario now this week [finally!]. I tried to jog it out on Tuesday night and couldn't get past 12 minutes before I was the melting witch... and then tried to briskly walk the rest of the 5 k home. Tomorrow, I'm…
  • I'm 12 days nicotine free, and 3 pounds down from my last weigh-in. I continue to hit the gym, do my cardio at nights, and have not replaced the nicotine with any sort of food whatsoever - I've switched to ice cold water/cubes when I get the urge. Good luck! You can do this.
  • Goals are set at losing 1lb a week. I'm not sure if the carb macro MFP set for me is high or low.. I just typed in my height, 5'8", 208 lb and age 46... this is what it spit out at me. Re: fibre -- I'm fairly regular ;) but I did buy some chia seeds last week and was planning on starting to add them to my yoghurt, salads,…
  • Starbucks Grande Tazo Chai Latte x2/day - gone. Annnd I'm going to save about $350/month.
  • D2 L1 done.. it was a struggle. Is anyone else working with a trainer as well? I see him 3x a week, did him yesterday D1 last night, scheduled with him again for tomorrow am, will I have the strength to do D3 tomorrow night? Today I went to the gym and did about 40 min on the treadmill and came home to do D2 - this evening…
  • It counts! I'm also doing strength with a personal trainer, and after 3 weeks I'm just finally starting to "properly" do pushups, with my body straight.. It's harder, but he says it is supposed to be - and I can't go all the way down yet either, but definitely notice a difference in agony between now and the half-assed…
  • Just completed L1, D1... I think I'm going to like this! I'm using 3 pounders.. which I thought were sort of wimpy, until the 2nd set of lunges.. dying!
  • asparagus is in season up here -- I just found an asparagus & chick pea salad that looks delish! Making it for my lunch tomorrow.
  • red wine! I just drank away my entire dinner calorie count with 3 glasses.
  • Gluten free for over a year now, and absolutely love it. I used to take a zantac daily (sometimes twice), my stomach/digestive system was a hot mess and I was always in pain. When I first switched, I stocked up on all the GF carbs - pasta, etc. and gained weight -- Now I cook with the basics - quinoa, beans/chick peas,…
  • I've done both, numerous times - of course, always to the same ankle. I think if it was a sprain/torn muscle, you'd see and feel the swelling/bruise right up the muscle in your calf. Sounds to me like you've had a fracture. X-ray would be my next step.
  • I started back at the gym 2 weeks ago (after 15 years not being there!). I'm 46, weigh in at 206. I smoke a pack a day. I have the Champix prescription in my purse to fill, but the google reviews freak me out re: depression. I don't know if I want to fill the prescription. I do know I need to stop smoking quickly, in order…
