If you want all those vitamins, eat more veggies and/or take a multi-vitamin. Also, what does a "lipo shot" have to do with your sleep apnea? Is it a vitamin B deficiency? Here I just saved you a bunch of money. Thank me later…

Or you could do what is actually proven to be successful and put in the hard work. :/

There is a difference between "Vitamin C helps prevent Scurvy" and "lemon water eliminates unnamed and unknown TOXINS (somehow)."

I love Fitocracy. It is a solid tracker, there is a lot of gamification in it (quests, leveling up, etc), and has a nice social aspect. If you sign up, find me (same name as here)! This goes for anyone who reads this thread.

First, I'm here to jump on the Herbalife hate wagon. Nothing magic about the shake. Secondly, meal timing doesn't do anything for you in the long run. Have a good day and I hope you save money :)

@RoyalWarrior: It is a book, but pretty cheap (the ebook is like $10 on Amazon), but there is also a wiki that describes the routine if you are feeling extra super cheap, like I am, lol. Skippy has another good beginner routine in SL. They are very, very similar. EDIT: $10 yosassi is a coach and just wants you to buy from…

Maybe take a look at Starting Strength? You might need to invest in a new barbell, but if you are looking for a good lifting routine if you don't know much, that's one of the best out there.

If I can pronounce all the words, does that make it ok to eat? Or maybe just the fact that they sound scientific is bad. Best to avoid Dihydrogen Monoxdie. Everyone knows Carbon Monoxide is deadly, and Hydrogen is used in BOMBS. Clearly this is evil. What about Sodium Chloride? Sodium is deadly, chloride is also deadly.…

According to http://whatanimaldoyoulift.herokuapp.com/ These are all 1RM calculations based off my best sets according to strstd.com I can deadlift a mature harbor seal. I can bench a baby elephant. I can squat a loggerhead sea turtle. I can OHP a baby giraffe. Be impressed of my mastery of the animal kingdom, friends.…

I can really only deadlift near/in front of the squat rack in my gym. I don't really care. You gotta do what you gotta do. Brodin will still smile down upon you.

Whatever creatine monohydrate is cheapest. I buy Optimum Nutrition. Name recognition, solid protein powder, so I go with them. Not really the cheapest, but close to it.
-
I personally enjoy them. I wake up at 5:15 to get to the gym. It's easier to take a powder with a glass of cold water than it is to make a cup of coffee, which would mean getting up earlier. So it's good for at least the caffeine boost. Plus, I like those beta-alanine itches. Call me crazy.

So, I have a whole organic well fed and massaged chicken from the local co-op. I also have some salt, some lemons, and some thai chili pepper seeds. All of these things are 100% found in nature (well, except domestic chickens, really. We kind of made those from chickens we found in nature). I then put it in a bowl and mix…

Dude doesn't know what he is talking about. Though that's a a lot of cardio for my taste, it's not too much. Two hours a day is a lot, but you probably aren't overtraining. Also, I wish I knew about these magical exercises that burn calories from fat! Must be like targeted fat loss, a totally real thing that people who…

It really depends. I mean, you can get a lot of a fritata (probably), unless they used lots of regular eggs and oil. A burrito minus the wrap might be good, so long as you go easy on the rice and they didn't use oil to cook the meat. It really can vary so much depending on how the person cooked the food that it's honestly…

Then she doesn't have a healthy diet. Part of health is moderation. Eating an apple a day is healthy, eating 30 is not.
-
I would recommend Starting Strength. It's probably the best beginner barbell program out there.
-
Another con: anthropologically inaccurate diet. The diet itself might be fine, but it certainly isn't "caveman" or "what we used to eat back then."
-
Why don't you do upper body workouts and not risk your leg? Pick up some weights! Good for you for getting into the habit though!

Because it's pretty miniscule, in the grand scheme of things.

I wouldn't count walking around the mall, so why would I count cleaning? Both are equally as "difficult" Unless I'm going for a run, following along with a workout DVD, or lifting heavy things, I wouldn't count it. If I did track it, I certainly wouldn't eat the calories back. Let me put it this way, I'm going to Disney…

Chicken breast, protein powder, and fat free cheese are probably your 3 best bets.
-
First, don't waste your money, buy protein powder if you want a shake. Second, totally IN for the drama.
-
First. and really the most important thing here, is that it is not "wa-la" but voila. Secondly, you don't need to cut out "processed sugars" to lose weight. All you gotta do is eat at a calorie deficit. Thirdly, read the ingredients on the package. If it says something like "sugar" or "high fructose corn syrup" or any…

I think so, lol.

I am currently doing 5/3/1 and I am loving it. I am about to complete my first month. I've seen major increases in my strength already. Highly recommend it as a strength routine. Unless you are not very experienced with lifting, then I would pick up starting strength.

My wife makes protein pancakes a lot. Here is a recipe she has used before. It was quite delicious! http://mutant-medusa.livejournal.com/36092.html

Exactly! It's all based on what you enter in for how many calories a day you consume, and what percentage of your calories should come from carbs/proteins/fats.
-
Let's say you have a calorie limit of 2000, a carb limit of 50, protein of 25, and fat of 25. You have a pizza worth 1000 calories, 20 fat, 5 protein and 15 fat. That means you have 1k calories remaining. And of those 1k calories, you need to make sure you get 30 more grams of carbs, 20 more of protein, and 10 more from…
