Well, I just ran the longest run yet. 6 miles!!!! I did it in 60:21. I had to stop 4 times to stretch my legs (think I was a little dehydrated), but I did it! A little slow, but I did it!!

4 oz chicken breast 2c spinach 1/2 c. cucumber slices with peel 2slices tomato 1oz baby carrots sprinkle of slivered almonds sprinkle of parmesean cheese 1 tbsp homemade lite ranch dressing toasted whole grain bread w/ 1tsp olive oil YUMMY salad!!! all about 350 cals

:happy: Happy May day everyone!!! Exciting news for me!!!!!!---- I did 5 miles for the first time this morn.!!!! My time was 45:01. Yaaaay for me. Knee hurts a little behind kneecap, though :grumble: ; don't like that, since my goal is to someday do a 1/2 marathon. I thought I did pretty good on my time.

My all time best 4 miles in 34:39 min.!!!!! I'm so excited for myself!!! I have now officially beat my hubby by more than a minute--- it feels great!!

Wow! That's great. I'm trying to get to that point. My highest so far is 4 miles. That is the best feeling afterwards when you succeed in pushing yourself a little further!!

Well, I was supposed to do a long run today, but I only did 4miles and my time was slow. I just was not feeling it today. I was achy and crampy in my legs. Oh well, another day. :ohwell:

Oooooh! Babysitter sounds wonderful! Ball tourney for us this weekend. :grumble: Have a blast! Did an easy 31/2 miles today. Will do a long run tomorrow or Sunday. Will be glad to get this weight off so running will get easier!!! I must be patient with 1 lb a week. :explode:

Don't do this for your wedding!! Do this for you and your health and your longevity(sp?). You need to change your lifestyle. Doing this for anything other than what I listed will only get you a temporary weight loss and a 'quick fix' , which is what everyone wants these days. Been quit for 8 years, so if I can do it you can too. Hopefully, the feel better feeling will keep you motivatied to stay quit forever. That's what kept me going. I still crave every now and then, but my health is alway more important and on my mind!!!!

On a tempo run, someone explain to me what a 4 X1600 with 800 jog means. I'm new to training for races and am having a hard time understanding what those numbers mean exactly.

figure out what type of pronator you are, then get the correct shoes. you can go to runners world and do a questionaire about your shoes. for example, do you tend to run on the outside of your feet or do you pronate inward. or yoou could be a medium pronator. i got one and i asked them what was in it, They said just coffee and whatever i wanted in it. Therefore, its only 5 cals. i ordered mine with a splash of milk and a splenda. its in the mfp database as SB's iced coffee with sugar free syrup-- only 5 cals. hope this helps!:smile:
