  • MAKE SURE SETTINGS ARE SET ON (LIFESTYLE) SEDENTARY OR LIGHTLY ACTIVE, UNLESS YOU ARE A WALKING MAIL CARRIER OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. yOU MAY BE GETTING TOO MANY CALORIES BECAUSE OF THIS. iT WOULDN'T CAUSE A 6LB GAIN BUT JUST EVALUATE THOSE AND YOUR FOOD SERVING SIZES!

  • cheese /crackers latte hot chocolate- sugar free celery peanut butter who cares about carbs anyway. Key to weight loss is in caloric intake. Eat anything that is no more than 278 cals. Enjoy. I always enjoy them and still losing!!
  • I did the same thing with the smoking and realized I was eating slightly more and just enough to help suppress my cravings and to gain a little weight. You just have to either exercise more or go less on cals. Make sure your lifestyle setting is set on sedentary or lightly active. That may make a difference. Be super…
  • Only stop the bad carbs. Our body needs the good carbs like 100%whole grain breads, rice, and pastas, and cereals. Have those in proportionate serving sizes. DO STOP the bad carbs, like sugars, white flour stuff. no one should ever stop eating good carbs. !!!!!!!! Also, you don't need to Diet! All you need to do is change…
  • You will be suprised at what a healthy diet (God made foods) will do for PCOS. I have a degree in health and nutition and studied this and seen it in my sis when she changed her diet for life. The worst thing to do is stuff yourself with artificial and processed foods. Hope this helps.
  • Sodas are just horrible for your body. They are completely artificial ingredients! You should really get yourself off them now. Also, sounds more like caffeine than sugar. For the caffeine, at least do green tea or coffee. NO SODA- not even diet.
  • Sounds like your breathing is off. Try breathing in thru nose and out thru mouth. Really concentrate on getting a good deep breath in before you slowly let it out. Concentrate when running and walking. Getting adequate oxygen is very important especially when running.
  • Remember that the setting for lifestyle does not include your intentional exercise. You should only base that setting on your day without the exercise. Then you enter your exercise in MFP.

  • Pilates is the way to go! It works your INNER CORE which is responsible for giving us that girdle look. Crunches only work the outer abs. Pilates will build the inner core to pull you in and improve posture. An example of a great pilates move is to get on elbows and toes and body is flat. squeeze inner thighs, flat back…

  • The calories allotted for the day before exercise are already set for you to have weight loss. Lets say you are alloted 1400 calories (before exercise). That means if you sit on ;your bottom all day and you don't go over those calories-- then you will lose weight. When you exercise, you get 'earned calories' to eat. You…
  • You need to think in terms of a lifestyle change- not losing weight. The healthy way you eat is the way you should eat until you die. 5 lbs in 1 week is way too much and unrealistic for long term weight loss!!!!! Set your goal to 1 lb per week and exercise at least 30-60 minutes per day at a high impact level and you wont…
  • 1 cup skim milk 1 cup of Kashi Go lean (high in fiber and protein so it fills you up) fruit (lots) coffee
  • Its all about the CALORIES! Don't worry about protein if you are trying to lose weight.
  • I would choose low impact, & minutes for the level one. When you don't know its better to underestimate. Sounds fun!
  • I earned 530 extra calories today, so at supper time I had 1000 to eat. I had a toasted egg sandwich w/cheese, baby carrots and ranch dressing and I am full!!. Its 9pm and I still have about 400 to eat. Wow!---the benefits of exercise!!!:):drinker:
  • Its way too soon!! Everyone loses differently. Maybe you should only weight every 2 weeks. Don't give up. Also, really assess your calorie intake an measurements of food.
  • Does it really matter? If you are trying to lose weight, its all about calories anyway. The others don't matter as long as you know you are eating healthy. Believe me , it;s OK. Don't cause extra stress on yourself. Calories are stressful enough to stay under! :
  • Yes, I did until I heard the same info. and felt a great relief! I only type in my weight once a week, but it is interesting to see how much your weight flunctuates dailly. If you are not getting your weekly goal, then you might need to assess food intake versus calories burned. It is so easy to make mistakes. Good luck to…

  • You may have your daily activities set to high. Set it to Sedentary or lightly active. You may not be accurately putting in calories burned. In order for me to burn 400 calories, I must run 4 miles or do 1 hr of high impact aerobics. Make sure you measure and count all foods in your mouth. All those things combined could…
  • Free weights, heavy enough so you can't lift the last rep of 10. Do three sets of each exercise three times a week . It will take a few tries to figure out what your weight is. Lots of cardio! You'll see results probably within 1 month.

  • I wouldn't worry about carbs, its all about the calories to lose weight! To be healthy, watch the bad carbs (simple).
  • Be true to your serving sizes, post everything, and exercise. It is such a great feeling to see that i have 900 calories to eat for dinner because I earned 470 calories during my workout!! s
  • I would definitely go with the lower eliptical trainer calories for the reason you stated. It's always better to underestimate!!
  • You have to put in your exercise under the exercise diary. THen on the food diary it will tell you that you have so many calories extra, just because you exercised. That's a great feeling!!
