Yes. Awkward is the word.

There are some exercises where keeping your form is easier. Some are lower impact. Some are made for people with different fitness levels. But burpees seem to be considered an all-inclusive move, and that's where my doubts are coming from.

That's eye opening!

T25

Yes, it is hard when you're already within your healthy weight range. Even for a someone who is much younger and naturally light. You've got to be stubborn to achieve it :). What kind of workouts are you doing? Have you tried increasing your workout intensity? High intensity training or interval training is usually very…

Yes to T25. Insanity scared the hell out of me. T25 is challenging enough but, to my shock, I enjoy it.

TurboFire. Heard so many great things about it; ladies seem to love it, finding it fun and effective. Khm... All three times that I tried it, I cried and yelled in frustration. Those moves are impossible to repeat or memorize. Anyone who manages to do that is my hero.

But isn't it the same thing as delaying visiting a doctor because you're lazy or don't want to deal with what he says? I would probably kidnap my mother and took her to see a doctor if it was important.
-
Thanks, guys. Good for her! My mom also cooks for her husband, of course, and that food may be too heavy for her. Now that I think of it, initially she did ask me to share what I know. Therefore, now it seems like she is just being lazy  I'll just leave her alone for now.

I like the "one thing at a time" idea.
-
Half-joking, yes. I'm just afraid that I dumped too much information on her. Oh, and her answer usually is that I've already helped.

Thanks, guys. We live in different parts of the city. I do workout DVDs at home, and can't imagine inviting my mother over for a sweaty T25 session ))). A class together would be nice, maybe I can find a way to make it work..... I am far from an expert but maybe I should make an exercise schedule and meal plan and do daily…

Thank you, all! I guess I'll just chill :)). Or try to work out closer to bedtime on days when I NEED to eat as soon as I get home (if my neighbours don't start complaning, like that one time I was showing my cardio routine to a friend at 11 pm)

Now I am curious what the responses would be if I just asked "how long do you wait before starting a workout after a snack?"
-
It's nice to have a flexible schedule like that. I tend to stay late at work, because I always feel I should be doing more :). And I, too, workout at home. As for eating within an hour post-workout: yes, I believe it is the best time, since that's when you get that post-workout burn. I love freshly prepared meals, though,…

I wonder, when do you go to bed when you start your workout at 10? Right after?
-
One thing that I found I can't eat before exercise is yogurt.....
-
That seems to be an agreement on most fitness resources I read. I sometimes do HIIT, so eating too close to workout doesn't seem like a good idea. Thanks.
-
Thanks for your replies. I guess I'll have a snack before leaving work and suck it up if I feel somewhat hungry. As well as stop worrying if my workout falls within an hour of a small snack.
-
Thanks. That's encouraging :)
-
Ah, that reminded me of my routine about two years ago. I used to spend 1.5 hours on public transport to get home from work. But I didn't workout back then. Eating dinner at work at least on cardio days is an idea.
-
My problem isn't what to eat, but the fact that it has to be "1 hour before". When I go home straight from work...those days are perfect :) I read that some of you don't actually wait so long before the workout. What's the perfect "wait time" for you?
-
I also find it easier on the days I work with weights. Reading all the tips on how one should wait at least an hour after a snack makes me worried.
