Oh wow, if I saw bear prints, I would definitely keep running...for my life.
-
Isn't this what treadmills are for? :hushed:
-
LOL

I should just try it. It's a good point about coyotes. Definitely won't be running in a park at night. Brrrr...
-
Had an image of a moose chewing on grass in the middle of Toronto, with a bear slowly running beside me  :))). I did see a fox near my building though.
-
I have a short trail in the ravine across from where I live. It is quite busy in early evening - most runners go there - but I would love to run there at night. But.... afraid. Who knows why.
-
Where is the jaw-dropping emoticon? Your story is very inspiring. Wishing you luck
-
3 am! That's commitment :). But you see, you mentioned not "because I'm crazy", so the assumption is that running at 3 am is odd.
-
I meant that I have never thought of it, not that I think it is not an issue.
-
Never thought that safety is such big issue for runners!
-
For some it is, of course. Unfortunately, a majority of people, especially in big cities, work 9 to 5. Thus, a standard image of an early morning runner.
-
I think running at sunrise is quite standard, as opposed to midnight. In my mind, all runners are early birds.
-
It could improve your speed.... Jokes aside, that's quite sad. Treadmill?
-
Of course, running in the dark is unavoidable when the sun goes down at 7, and that's when you get home. But if I see a runner after midnight, I cannot help but think it is odd to be running at such hour. No idea why, because I often feel like going for a run/walk late at night myself!

Come on, people! Now the OP will get this idea of the coworker trying to seduce her. She will start seeing inappropriate behaviour in every interaction. She will go to HR and complain about inappropriate comments. The guy will get fired. His family will end up on the streets. Now seriously, you are not too muscular. If I…
-
Hahaha
-
Wow, that's dedication. I am a beginner, so doubt I'll be running in colder months at all, haha.
-
You are one of the runners I am always impressed with  Running before sunrise? I can hardly make myself get out of bed before 8 am! Running in rain or snow? Looks so cool, but the thought of getting soaked in the middle of the run scares me!
-
Personally, I cringe at every person running on the streets of downtown Toronto. There is no fresh air! There is crazy pedestrian traffic! But it's a norm in big cities.
-
Haha, that's my boyfriend's reaction to those who run in hot weather. If you are on a trail in the park, though, it's not that bad.
-
I feel quite safe in TO, but I do live in a nice neighbourhood.
-
I bet not everyone is as positive as you about this
-
I cannot understand how people run in freezing temperatures in general. But yeah, that runner went a little overboard, haha.
-
Total Body Circuit is a b*tch! Please, remember that you should go at your own pace. Remember to modify at least in week 1. There is no harm in having one slow week. I bet you'll still sweat.
-
Ah, the pressure to keep up... I tend to go fast but pause the videos to catch a breath (and hydrate). It feels so good to keep up with the instructor though
-
Hahaha. You bet!
-
Exactly. That's why I think modified burpees are still challenging enough. At least for my level :). Mostly, I wanted to see what people's opinion is on the importance of burpees. Is it just "the thing" or actually a great all-body move.
-
That is a great video. Thanks.
-
Haha, that might be true. You're subconsciously trying to get through the move faster, so the form suffers.
-
I wish I could have better form. I mostly do workout videos, and it's usually fast-paced with not too many reps. I always want to push myself to do all the moves well, but feel like walking burpees may be the way to go. Or a completely different move instead.
