I haven't tried it, but i heard that P28 bread is good. 12 g carbs, 13g protein, 130 cals per slice. It sounds really awesome. I would totally eat it if it were gluten free.

I use Isagenix Isalean Pro natural chocolate flavour (and no, i'm not a rep, i don't sell the stuff). I like the taste and the nutrition profile. 280 cals 36 g Undenatured, grass-fed, hormone free, antibiotic free whey/milk protein concentrate 9 g fat Low glycemic (21g carbs, 9g sugar, 6g dietary fibre) 23 vitamins and…

I try to avoid soy because soy is estrogenic and i have uterine fibroids. (estrogen makes the fibroids grow) I used to drink soy milk and eat soy beans because i thought they were healthy. Ooops. Uterine fibroids are terrible. They are very painful and they make me chronically anemic. :( Soy is not my friend.

I've lost 24 lbs in the last 4 months (34 lbs total in the past 2 years). What i did: 1. Track calories in and calories out (MFP and Fitbit). I have a food scale and i use it. 2. Hydraulic resistance training 3 times a week (Curves). 3. Intermittent fasting (8 hr feeding window) and also make sure i get a solid 8 hrs of…

If you mixed PB2 with the Roasted Peanut Oil from the same company (Bell Plantation) you'd have something that resembles peanut butter... but it would be way more expensive. Smart company. Separating oil from peanuts and selling both by-products at higher prices. Here's an idea... 1. Buy some peanuts. (or natural peanut…

Are the sources/studies he quotes credible or not? http://chriskresser.com/the-gluten-thyroid-connection Because if what he's saying is true, then wheat/gluten has a lot to do with auto-immune diseases like hashimoto's.
-
They can if that water weight was caused by inflammation. Inflammation = swelling = major water weight. Gluten allergy/intolerance causes inflammation. Ever watch someone with celiac puff up before your eyes after eating gluten? It's crazy. My friend who has severe celiac and hashimoto's hypothyroidism swells up a few…

No wheat bread for me, i'm hypothyroid. (immune response to wheat/gluten attacks thyroid) I do enjoy gluten-free bread though, it's yummy. :)

Anyone else have any advice? Like how much protein to be aiming for to build muscle? How much fat and carbs? I'm thinking of doing a month of maintenance at 2000 calories before i switch to the 2250, so i don't shock my system too much and so i can get used to eating more food. Is this a good plan?
-
Thank you. Should i be aiming for a lower body fat % before i start to bulk up then? My main reason for my fat loss is to lower my estrogen levels (because of uterine fibroids and fertility issues) not for aesthetic reasons, so i don't want it to get too low either... but i'm not sure what levels are safest/best though.

I like fruit, i enjoy the taste... but strangely i never really crave it so i don't eat much of it. When i do it's usually small portions... like a few berries out of my garden as a snack, or a slice or two of watermelon. The most fruit i'll have in a day is if i make a banana smoothie... and i consider that more of a…

Research IBS and gluten intolerance/celiac. Also, feel free to browse my diary. I eat around 1500 (more or less depending on activity level). Some days are healthier choices than others, i'm pretty flexible with what i eat, even on a gluten-free diet.

Sidenote, it's hard to avoid weird animal products in food anyway. Many vegans even eat animal products unknowingly. For example, refined white sugar is filtered with 'natural carbon' or 'natural charcoal' made from... animal bone char. Same with municipal tap water... it's filtered with animal bone char too. I wonder how…

A vein in your meat isn't going to hurt you. Many parts of the animal other than just the muscle are edible. I remember, way back in the day when i used to eat KFC, i would break the bones open and eat the bone marrow. True story. Iron deficiency anemia makes you do crazy things i guess. :P

I've watched 'Super Size Me'... twice. The first time i just assumed it was just because of the fast food he got so sick. The second time, i payed more attention. The guy was OVEREATING to the point where he threw up! If you do that with ANY type of food... even the healthiest kind, you are going to stress out your…

Anyone else think of Brian Regan's comedy routine at the mention of ice cream serving sizes? video here: http://youtu.be/LBko_3wT44Q I can't help but laugh, every time. 1/2 cup of ice cream? ... i just kept eatin' and eatin' and eatin'... i must have had two spoonfuls! :)

Anyone?

I looked up the nutrition on it because i've never tired it... but 18g of sugar and only 10g of protein? Sounds like a recipe for hunger to me. I would not find that satisfying for very long and i'd be hungry again shortly after i drank it. If you're gonna do a shake/meal replacement, try to find one that has more protein…

Up your soy intake by 500 grams and you'll need a bra in no time, son.

Wacoal and Freya are excellent for support. If you can't find them where you are, freshpair.com sells them and has free shipping. I also really like layering the Rhonda Shear 'Ahh Bra'... 2 or 3 of them to get enough support, or layering one over a regular bra works great to minimize back rolls. I use one to sleep in (not…
