Changing hormone levels can throw of the balance of other hormones. Have you had your thyroid levels checked lately? Since your meds changed? Some of your symptoms sound like possible hypothyroidism.

A serving of Miracle Noodles (Shirataki) with some Walden Farms sauce/dressing will log in at 0 calories... but the texture and flavour will be so unpleasant that it will also probably make you throw up. Zevia Cola is decent though, if you like stevia. :)

My dad eats pastries cakes and pies all the time. He LOVES desert. He always has. He doesn't have any health issues. He's also 64 years old, in great physical shape (13% body fat) and runs at least 13k per day (uphill). He just recently ran a half-marathon and finished 1st place for his age category. (he ran 21k in 1 hr 42…

Thanks for the replies :) I feel healthy, but the way she was looking at me and talking to me made me feel like i look like i have an eating disorder or something. That is not my goal. I want to be healthy and strong. :)

"In fact, nitrites are produced by your own body in greater amounts than can be obtained from food, and salivary nitrite accounts for 70-90% of our total nitrite exposure. In other words, your spit contains far more nitrites than anything you could ever eat. When it comes to food, vegetables are the primary source of…

If you were starving to death, would you really say "No thanks, i'd rather die than eat food with chemicals in it?" If you think death is a better option than ingesting a few chemicals... then i don't know what to say. Did you even ask the hungry people if the food you label as 'junk' was good enough for them? Do you…

Please tell me that when you say 'trashed' you didn't actually throw perfectly good food into the trash, but that you donated it to your local food bank?

Juice fasting is probably safer than water fasting if you're doing it for longer than 3 days. But i think the health/detox benefits are more from the fasting (letting your body spend more time in repair mode) than the juice. The juice feeds you with vitamins/minerals and carbs though, which are important if you're doing…

If the gluten is the problem, then grass-fed dairy might be okay. Grain-fed dairy can have enough gluten to be a problem for some people.

Which brand of gluten-free bread are you eating? Silver Hills Gluten-Free Omega Flax is pretty heavy to me. Portofino Gluten-Free Seeded Bread is also very dense. All But Gluten raisin bread is quite moist. Udi's is pretty light though... my husband calls it gunpowder bread. It's the only gluten-free brand i've tried that…

It depends on if it's the yeast in the bread or the wheat/gluten that's making you feel bloated. 1. Try a yeast-free unleavened bread made from wheat/gluten. If you feel bloated after, then the wheat/gluten might be the problem. (look into gluten intolerance/celiac) 2. Try a gluten-free bread that has yeast... if you feel…

Zevia zero calorie soda. It's sweetened with stevia, and here in Canada it has added vitamin C (the American version does not have vitamin C). Cream Soda, Ginger Root Beer, Black Cherry, and Cola are my favs. :)

Haha, no worries. They definitely shrunk. I was a 34F at my heaviest, and i'm a 34 D now. They were just realllly big to start with so I don't think they will ever be small. Please don't be jealous... i'd love to be perkier and not be covered in stretch marks and not have lose skin... but everyone has something to be…

Still wondering if anyone else knows anything else about this, or has had any experience with it. My fingerprint creases are quite obvious, and many of them. I'm still pretty new to being gluten-free and slip up a lot. Things like flour being in creamed corn... so many sneaky hidden gluten ingredients to watch for.

Wow, great job!!! :D

Thanks everyone. I'm still amazed at how far i've come in the past few months, and even more so, that past few years... even with all the health challenges i've faced. The big turning point was realizing that my health issues were not excuses, but challenges, and that improving my health would not be easy, but it's also…

Yeah, it all depends on the location of the fibroids. Mine cause severe cramping and hemorrhaging every month. I've ended up in the ER a few times because of it. :(

You could also try the 'Ahh Bra'. It's not very supportive, but it's great for smoothing out back fat... even if you wear it over top of your regular bra (which like other's have mentioned, you should probably get sized to make sure you're wearing one that fits right). Do you still see this area as a problem when you are…

But if that's still not good enough... you could try two putting cheese between two portobello mushrooms and grill that? That actually sounds really yummy to me... i want one now. With a side of ketchup for dipping please. Might still be too much carbs though... you'd have to slice the mushrooms cause i think they are…
