If part of the observation is based on what you see people eating in restaurants, bear in mind that is not always a completely accurate picture. My family only eats out for birthdays and so yes, the kids get to order whatever they want for dinner and desert. It's a special occasion.

That's an issue I have had too, the constant feeling of hunger. Ever since giving birth I feel like I am hungry sometimes only two hours after a meal.

I am breastfeeding but thankfully have a well-established supply as I have been at it now for eight years, even through pregnancies. I am down 20 so far since my son was born though I know most of that is the easiest to shed as I haven't really started dieting just yet. Trying to work on getting back into the habit of…

I also don't like needles of any kind, but when I had to go get my wisdom teeth (had to be done over two separate appointments, only doing two at the time, and people were shocked to hear that I didn't do any of the drugs other than the gas, because I'm breastfeeding. I got through it the same way I got through my kids…

That's something I would also really like to see, after having had four kids.

Something fairly inexpensive that you could add to your water is what I like to use: I drink either crystal light lemonade, which adds 70 sodium per packet, but you're drinking the water with it, and one bottle is only ten calories. For a lower sodium, try special k protein water, I get the pink lemonade, but they also…

When I started I cut out soda (had been drinking 8+ diet mountain dews every day) and stopped going out to eat. Along the way, I have exercised off and on, more off than on though, and still managed to lose weight. About the only consistent thing I have done is eating as close to 1200 calories as I can, though not under,…

I started January 1, 2012 at 240 lbs, currently at 198.

I am 5'4.75"

The scale tracks it for me.

No pictures, but I have two cups of fruit rings cereal and 1/2 cup of fat free darigold milk, comes to 220 for the cereal and 45 for the milk.

Personally I never told my kids, for the sole purpose of never lying to my children. If they question you're honesty on one thing like that, there's no turning back and I figured I would rather have them being the kid at school telling other kids there is no santa versus them coming home in tears because someone told them…

I wish I had some advice for you, but if it is any consolation, I am in the same boat. I also eat 1200 calories a day and drink between six and ten bottles of water in a day, but scale is refusing to move. Hopefully other people will respond to this with some answers for us.

I think you need to take a lot of factors into account when you look at that number. First of all, it is a guesstimate based upon what you are doing today and if you can continue to do that EVERYDAY for the next five weeks, second of all, I don't believe it takes into account how long people have been dieting, so those…

Mine is a totally different situation, fiance tries to eat like me, and he keeps losing weight, when he is already a healthy weight

Thank you to everyone who responded. Never thought I would get so many responses so quickly. To answer some questions, I am only dieting right now, MFP telling me to shoot for 1220 in calories, no exercise right now as I find it really hard to work in the time (single mom of four and going to college fulltime). What you…

I'm Nikita. I am a twenty-five year old college mom of four kids. I am trying to find some support in losing the weight I have gained from having my babies and putting other people's needs first. Please add me as a friend.
