I'm in. Always looking for new challenges :)

I am not dairy free as some dairy products bother me since having gastric bypass surgery and some don't, and also being an on again off again vegan that used to work for Wholefoods I have picked up many, many tricks. Almond milk, hemp milk, oat milk, and coconut milks are all good substitutes for milk. For eggs: you can…

It is possible, MFP can help. You can eat normal foods and lose weight and keep it off. Its all about portion control, really measuring and weighing your food, and making better choices. Eliminating or reducing your processed food intake will help. Good luck to you

Keeps the girls in check and with DD's you need it girl. Bouncing is simply just not good for the girls.

Also remember that when you are lifting, you are adding muscle mass which will make the scale creep up a bit.

You look great! Congrats!

Nothing happens overnight, its usually over a period of time that you notice it. A little over a week is a bit short to see amazing results. You should give it more time and concentrate on how you are feeling. The results will come, as with all things, with patience.

Reality is that sometimes you have off days. Having "cheat days" in my opinion is creating an exception so I don't think of it like that. I don't give myself specific "cheat days". For example this past saturday I went over 200 calories. We were camping and I went over a bit, I knew I might and accepted it and tried to be…

If you don't drink coffee, don't start. Stick to teas... green tea is a good one. I mix and match ...green tea with lemon ginger zinger and country peach w/ green tea. Coffee is okay but if you get to drinking it every day it becomes consequently very difficult to break that habit and too much caffeine is bad for your…

I saw that article on Digg yesterday. Didn't really read it just saw the headline. I suppose it could be for some but in my experience the desire to make a change, really make a change, needs to come from within you. Anytime when I tried to change something about myself whether it be weight, attitude etc because someone…

I find that when I was running that my focus was on my breathing and not dying, i would wave or acknowledge when I could but I wouldn't let it frustrate you. Chances are they aren't being rude they are just concentrating.

I do this and then sprinkle them with parmesan cheese and bake them. Yummy

Do you mean a whole week fast? More power to you, I don't think I could do it. I like the challenges idea though. Keeps your mind off it. I have found that just changing my mindset on how I deal with my emotions helps too. Like food is not what i do when I am feeling XXX. I go for a walk or start a new crafting project or…

I don't think it ever could. That guys transformation was phenomenal. Gonna try that yoga out he was doing but yoga has never been my thing. For me its the message, that you can do anything when you put your mind to it.

duly noted.

Well a modified shepards pie. :P

Done! 2 - 4 minute sets of 150. Awesome challenge. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.

They are good, however, if you are buying frozen deals from the grocery store make sure you are reading labels. Fruit smoothies you make at home are usually just fruit, which itself can cause serious blood sugar spikes, which may or may not make you feel bad but are definitely not good for your body. The frozen deals you…

Sorry about your loss, but excited for you for being ready to make a change. I'll add you. Cheers Tess

Good to meet you too and cheers for making a choice to start your journey. It's hard but hundreds of people are going down the same road with you. As a fellow carb junkie, just know that every now and then you should treat yourself because you only live once. You can do it. Eat to live, don't live to eat Welcome, Tess

Get out and take a walk or go swimming and tred water or something outside. Being inside an office and than being inside a gym can be very unmotivating. MFP has calorie counts for all kinds of food places so don't be afraid to explore your options before going somewhere, also a bit of planning ahead might be in order. Like…

Congrats on restarting your journey. We all go through those periods of pity partying. It doesn't get any easier when you get older but we all do what we can. You can add me if you want to, I would be happy to support you on your way. Cheers, Tess

I can feel like a bit of a pain to do it at first but weighing and measuring keeps you honest. I also realized for me, not saying this is you, but i was using that as an excuse not to move forward with this the first time. Weighing and measuring is an eye opener when you realize how much a serving actually is compared to…

I just cut it in half raw and gut it and then put them cut side down in a glass dish in about an inch of water, covered, and cook for about 45 to 1 hour, depending on the size, or until its squishy. I've tried it whole and I find the cut method works better. I have also heard that you can do it in the microwave but....I've…
