Sorry to be late reporting back. I used 4 oz of 2% milk, 1/2 scoop of the ON Mocha Cappuccino protein powder and 1/2 tsp of the instant espresso powder and to me it tasted like chocolate milk. It was good but just not coffee enough for me. Everything dissolved well in the milk but I would have to add more espresso powder…

Good for you for not letting her stop you from doing what you want to do. :flowerforyou: You have a great attitude. I'd say you are well on your way. I might have been intimidated but you went for it anyway. That's why I lift at home so that I don't have to deal with BS like that.

Oh my…that sounds delicious. I love caramel. Please let us know what you think after you try it. I like thicker textures which is why I use yogurt instead of a liquid and the pudding sounds right up my alley.

OHP just drives me crazy. It looks like it should be so easy to push the weight overhead but looks are deceiving. My last attempt at 55 lbs was 5,5,3,4,5. The only reason I think I got my last set at 5 was because I rested 5 minutes between the 4th and 5th sets. I just don't have time to spend 5 minutes between each set.…

I have not but for you I will try it in 2% milk tomorrow instead of yogurt unless you'd like me to try it in water. Whatever you want...How's that? I would do it today but I found some Trutein samples I ordered a while back and already mixed up chocolate peanut butter cup in my yogurt for after my workout.

I absolutely adore Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard in Mocha Cappuccino. I mix it with Dannon Oikos nonfat plain Greek yogurt and it dissolves very well and is completely smooth after just a couple minutes in the refrigerator. I add in a little instant espresso powder that also dissolves well and adds a little…

I want to thank everyone in this group for your support. It has meant more than I can tell you. @neon - I am getting through this but it is just going to take time. Right now I am not working so I am stuck at the house quite a bit and my hubby is in a constant state of overtime at work right now. I am trying to stay busy.…

We definitely get snowbirds here for the winter. It was 79 degrees and mostly sunny today…just beautiful. I live about 20 minutes from the Alabama line and about 40 minutes from the beaches.

Geez…I get depressed and have seasonal affective disorder and I live in Florida. I simply can't imagine living anywhere north of where I am in the Panhandle. It gets too cold for me here much less DC or *gasp* some place like Canada. We vacation in Jamaica in winter so I can be warm and happy for a week anyway. I seriously…

*Claps hands eagerly.* SezxyStef---You are truly an inspiration. I can't wait to see what can be accomplished in 30 weeks. It will give me extra motivation I am sure!

Ok…that makes a lot more sense. The results are amazing for 0.7 pounds lost while heavy lifting. I hope my next 0.7 pounds looks as good.

Smh.

I *strongly dislike* this lift. I'm staying at 50 pounds today since my last attempt was so wobbly even though I did get 5x5. Hubby is off tomorrow so we are going to search the local hardware stores for some large washers to use as fractionals.

I do cardio on lift days. I wear Chucks for lifting and then change to K-Swiss Tubes for my cardio.

Thinking positively for you! This time last year I was finishing up my last semester of a civil engineering degree. I remember it well. I wish I had had the focus and commitment to work out regularly. My goals for April… 1. Find a job. I have a couple of very good leads. It's been a year almost since graduation and it's…

I really like the timer feature between the sets on the app. It keeps me from rushing and the knowing there is a bell prompt keeps me from looking at the timer every 3 seconds.

An awesome month for sure!

What a difference a day makes. The rain stopped and we're having a beautiful day. No more blah. Week 2 is done. Workout B: Squats: 5x5 70 lbs OHP: 5x5 50 lbs but a major suckfest and form suffered on the last couple reps of the last two sets DL: 1x6 110 lbs (I just wanted to do one extra…I love the feel of this lift) Plus…

I love this thread. I revisit it often. It is what inspired me and prompted me to have my hubby build me a power cage for my birthday this year so I could safely lift pretty much on my own. It's simply amazing what everyone who has posted on that thread has accomplished. One day I hope to post my before and after pics in…

Today was supposed to be a lift day for me, my 6th SL workout and workout B. It was just a blah day today. Some GI issues, 1000 inches of rain and a kitty getting neutered. I decided to put it off until tomorrow. I got 1 warmup squat in with the bar today and knew it wasn't going to work. I won't be able to lift again…

I lift usually in the early afternoon. Cardio…I love it when I'm finally doing it but I struggle with motivation every single day.

I'm usually okay hunger wise on lift days but I am starving and actually feel a little weak in the morning on the days after lifting. I'm eating at a 20% deficit or a little higher though and I'm pretty sure that is why. I do find sometimes I need to bump up my intake on non-lift days. I am eating over 100 grams of protein…

Hi everyone. I am new to Stronglifts and just started today. I did Allpro's for a couple weeks and realized it would take forever on that program to add any weight at all to the bar and decided I would change to SL before I got further involved in that. I had no problems with Workout A with the starting weights given but…

Thanks everyone for the advice. I definitely feel more stable with a wider stance with squatting and I think plates under my heels may definitely help with stability also while I learn correct form and build confidence. I hope it doesn't take too long to learn proper form and correct these issues. My mind is so ready to…
