I do all my morning workouts on nothing more than a glass of water or a cup of leftover coffee. I do have a small breakfast on long run mornings but for stuff under 10 miles I just go out and get it done. Breakfast can happen after the run.

The 18 mile run yesterday went well. I almost have the training to do half a marathon.

                Which religion?

I thought you were supposed to do your long runs slower than the event pace.

Okay, I love this advice. I'll make that my motto.

I was planning on doing a 18 this weekend, then a 20, then a 16, a 20, and then taper. Only time will tell how this works out. It's that last 6.2 miles I'm worried about. It will be a new distance. I've never had a new distance on race day before.

Yep. From here on out I plan on doing my longer runs nice and easy. This will be my first full. I think I can do it but I've never done it so it's an unknown.

I did a 16.6 mile run last weekend and 42 miles total for the week. I'm just running for fun. Also I've never done anything longer than about 18 miles. I'll do that again this weekend but am I really prepared? The race is December 14th.

Yeah. All 26.2 miles of it.

5 - 6 times a week generally. No one ever cheers for me when I'm done.

                Why are you doing this?

This isn't any different than having to do extra math problems for being bad in math. It's physical conditioning that makes you better at your sport. Having to do math as a punishment in sports would be odd. Running laps in math would be odd. Each has it's appropriate method for correction.

I'm doing a 16 mile run tomorrow. I better eat more candy. This isn't going to cut it.

This is just another attempt to say that carbs are the root of all evil. This notion has been debunked over and over.

As long as you're just showing your belly and not your stuff I doubt anyone will care. You're going to fit right in if you're in a tourist area. Of course there will be some people with amazing bodies. Just enjoy them but typically it's not disgusting to see overweight people with no shirt. Guys get a lot more slack for…

I personally use the Scooby Workshop calorie calculator. http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ You probably need around 2000 calories a day to drop weight in a healthy manner. Recalculate this for every 5 lbs that you lose.

Comment on your friend's success. Brag about your success. Be involved in your own fitness and make that a normal part of your life. It isn't motivation it's dedication. It's doing what you know you should do even if you don't feel like it.

What. Is. It? Is it. What is it?

If the subject starts out with "Black people" it's probably racist.
-
Yes. This isn't a long term solution. If you can't meet your calorie goals with normal food you're going to have hell keeping up with a near zero carb diet. All aboard the train to failure town. Just eat normal food and monitor your calorie intake more closely.

Monday 7.5 was easy. Yesterday I wanted to quit at 2 and made it to 3.25. Partly to blame was the fact that it was hot and humid. It's at least half mental. This morning I did a fairly easy 7.75 miles. I actually started feeling really really good around mile 6. Weeeeee! Everyone has bad days. Just shrug it off and try…

                Basically under-boned.

Bone size doesn't matter. If you have rolls on your back, stomach, legs, arms. Then you're fat. That's pretty much all there is to it. Just be a nice size for your frame.

Diet. The difference is more diet that anything. I do a 13+ mile run nearly every week. Me and my poor chicken legs. Just make sure you're logging calories burned and eating those calories. You're not going to lose anything in the way of leg size. The pros are smaller on purpose. There's no advantage to carrying…

No. That doesn't count. Treadmills don't always tell you the correct speed or distance covered. The effort needed to run on a treadmill isn't the same as running outside. You can keep a treadmill PR but don't compare it to outside PRs.

Ha ha! Love this. Great job Mr. Healthy. Keep it up.

You're probably fine from diet alone as long as you're not restricting sodium. The biggest issue is if you're drinking tons during your run. If so then take a gel or some sort of Gatorade along to keep from getting too much water intake. I just have 12 oz of water and a gel or so for 13 - 15 miles. I might add in a second…
